I guess, somehow, that some people know this-but, anyway, I've decided to get a hotel room close to Cags. It's not that I'm an old wienie and can't handle camping it's just that I'd like to imbibe and enjoy and not have to worry about officer Pup telling me to breathe hard into a tube.

That makes sense. I'm not planning to imbibe much, so the drive won't bother me. We'll miss you, tho. I mean, we'll still see you...oh heck, you know what I mean. :P

MUH UH AH AH AH.... he was lured by a soft bed and a pool and a chance to hang extra with Cov cuz who knows when the British will be coming again and lastly by being a short distance from Cag's Party Central.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Exactly... the whole employment thing is the primary reason that I wasn't able to come to SF/Denver - I even had FF miles ready to use.

The only other detail would have been convincing my wife - and she would have loved to see SF. I keep telling her about the awesomeness of Muir Woods, but she comes back with "Trees? What about the shopping? What about the architecture? What about the people? We have trees in Indiana." I don't think she gets it...

Ain't no redwoods in Indiana. Everybody oughta see one of those once. 8O

I'm feeling a little nervous about taking Amtrak, with the flooding in Iowa. Right now, the train service between Chicago and Denver is suspended in spots. I may end up flying from Chicago -- or from DC.

Well, we'll miss you at the campsite, but I understand where you're coming from. I wouldn't mind staying at the hotel either, since its closer to where the party is, and that would give me more time to hang out with everyone, but oh well.

I CAN'T WAIT for this weekend, I'm getting so excited!

I hope the service is restored in time, ali.
But if not...
There's a Watcher in Chicago perhaps you could somehow drag along... ;)

All valid reasons, as well as web access. But, being at the campsite will be fun as well. And we could always hang at the hotel if welcomed until we have to drag ourselves back to collapse.

Besides, it will be easier to cook at the campsite, than in a hotel room. ;)

Yes'm, I will do my best. Since I bought Magickmaker's ticket for her, I may have to have her pay me back by buying me a one-way ticket to Denver...

Made it home, safe and sound! Thanks again CJ and BGB for a fantastic weekend!

I'm so tired I've gone cross-eyed so y'all will have to wait a little longer for details. I'll post pics to group Fest later tonight though.

I was a little weepy this am with thoughts of Seafest SF being over. But every time I do I just think of Seafest Denver and I can't help but smile.

While i can empathize with all of you in your state of " mishmosh of sappiness"...thats a goodie Jenn,,consider the two now on the road. I have not met either,,yet,,it is said by a few here..one of them has the gift to " communicate". Now....the western USA,,is blessed with wide open and long stretches of ..horizon and sky...Ummm..I'm placing the two seemingly unconnected aspects together in my mind,,and yes,,its my mind only..and see a possibility that the " great times" of all your meeting,,are made Great not only in the event itself,, but in the before and after comparisons known only to each. So.. what of the,,no after..no end, justa continuing? ,,,,Its been a long time since I've seen the actual movie T& L..Did either ever just have to take a long walk in the desert by herself?...By the time they arrive in Denver,,it could be interesting.

Okay,,joking aside..I want to extend my appreciation for allowing this literal " watcher" to peak in on the celebration that is Seafest. All pictures allow this and I am in great Thanks to all who have contributed...Thanks very much for posting all these great pics..MEL
