I am the last.

Magickmaker has finally boarded her flight for home. Danlo just hit the road for home. I'm here at Cag's, waiting for him to come back from dropping Menolly at the airport.

What a great weekend! So many memories -- the distilled chicken, the Motel 6 pool, the distilled chicken, the whole abduction and bondage thing, the distilled chicken, meeting Galador at the bagel place, the distilled chicken, paying to shower at the campground, the distilled chicken, huffing and puffing up the stairs at Red Rocks, the distilled chicken. Did I mention the distilled chicken? It keeps coming back and reminding me....

Seriously, I had a fabulous time. Cag and Carla are wonderful hosts (I know I said that earlier, but it bears repeating!) and I can't wait for the next one.

And then there were none.

Everyone has left and I am now urinating in all the corners to reclaim the house. I plan on spending the rest of the day dead.

Gained:
Tons of food
Tons of dirty dishes
Legend of Zelda game for the Wii (thanks Menolly)
A monkey (thanks CovJr., I assume)
A bottle of Listerine
A full load for the trash man this week
A head injury
Only one stain on the carpet (I'm thankful it is only one that can be cleaned once my strength returns and I get the carpet steamer out instead of some knocked over candle mess or something)
A couple more inches to my waistline
A neighbor who wants to borrow food from me
What is currently the best event of 2008 (I don't get out much)

Lost
A cellphone charger
Whatever Thelma and Louise have stolen (I haven't finished the inventory yet)
Some brain cells from all the drinking
Another marble from the Ker-plunk game that is my head
Little bits of my heart that went off with you

I wondered where that bloody thing got to. Just don't give it melon. Last time I gave it melon, I woke up four days later on the fringes of a faux-Texan dude ranch twelve miles from Copenhagen, wearing a sequined tricorn hat and with an aftertaste of cinnamon gum and syrup in my mouth.

CovJr - that is a frighteningly vivid amount of detail

Just got in-beautiful drive and wonderful lunch with my aunt-in-law in Colorado Springs. I'm once again roadkill from 7 hours of hard driving, nothing that a glass of wine(or six) won't cure. I miss everyone terribly, already. :(

I'm home, by the way. missed seeing my friend in Texas, since my flight out of Denver was delayed. Decided I wanted to be HOME, so took a cab instead of waiting for Ali to come pick me up(as far as I know, she hasn't landed yet). Cab was $42. How much are you supposed to tip cab drivers anyway? I tipped about 20%. Was that too much? Too little?
I miss you all TONS already. Not looking forward to biking to work in the morning(shoulda gotten on that plane to SF after all, huh?).

Personally, I tip cabbies however much they deserve.

Well, he got me home, drove over the speed limit(which, when I'm paying according to time, is a plus!), and didn't try to talk my ear off on the way here. He offered to help me bring my bags in, but I turned him down...I suppose he deserved what he got.

I usually tip three bucks if it is a quick city ride and five to ten for a long airport ride.

On another note. I am having a bit of a surreal moment. CovJr is in my kitchen washing the dishes because I cooked. I have an urge to get up and make him stop because I am so crazy about hosting and caretaking that it is almost driving me nutty. (short trip I know, and the voices of Sea and Cag ring in my head declaring just that) I think I am supressing it well though. I have been having moments of missing the festers badly today. I had a moment in the kitchen earlier when I broke into giggles and had to explain that I had an urge to call Magickmaker and be ridiculously silly and before that I had a huge urge to call Aliantha and just simply tell her I love her. GAH!!! I miss everyone. Why don't you all just move to San Francisco already. Sheesh. Get on that. Right now. Seriously. I'm waiting....

heh.
At least the pictures of the festers at Red Rocks show you the true shade of orange for a shirt, instead of that faded, washed out shade most Vols...oh, nevermind.

Missed you, dlb...

Aw, shucks, Jenn, I love you too.... <scuffs sandal on carpet>

<goes to first aid cabinet for band-aid for bloody toe>

I miss you guys too, and I miss Colorado, and I'm hoping that when I wake up I'll find out that the whole trip home and in to work today was a bad dream and I'm still there with you all.... (Flight was delayed, didn't get home 'til 1am, didn't get to bed immediately, up this morning at 6am. Urgh.)
