Germany are like Italy(without the cheating), they are very lucky. Turkey made a come back again in 86 minute but Germany took a leaf from their book and scored in the 90th. Germany were very poor and struggled to breakdown a weakend Turkey team. Imagine waht would have been like if they had a fully fit squad.

Never really in doubt. The game changed when one man came on.... Fabregas; passing perfect, technique perfect... he set up everything and bossed the midfield. I really can't understand why he is not playing from the start(better than Xavi). Villa is injured so he should start.
Arse-Shavings didn't really seem to perform in miss match... maybe transfer talk got to him or he struggled against a really good defence. He doesn't seem like a Barcelona type player.
Anyway, the team I picked to win are through.

I say it was more that Germany were poor rather than Spain were good, unless Spain played really well and could have won by more goals. Torres got the only goal. The German back four were really poor and so was the goalkeeper(not surprising since that Lehmann and Metzelder have hardly played and Mertsacker is young). Nearly the whole squad Spanish squad played in Spain, exceptions being Torres, Arboloa, Reina, Alonso and Fabregas who all play in England.
Overall the best team won who played the best football, not just on the night, but throughout the entire competition. Germany have been riding their luck and have not looked good since defeat to Croatia. Lucky against Turkey, they never looked like getting back into this game.
Well the team I backed won but many people back them anyway.
