A double meat Boars Head honey maple turkey with provalone half sub on a whole wheat hoagie roll with extra mayo, a smear of Guldens, extra pickles, and all other veggies (including banana peppers) except for jalapeños from Publix.
Obviously, my cold and fever have receded, and I now have my appetite back, LOL.

Russian fruit cake. It's almost like a soft challah bread with apricots and blueberries and pears baked into it.

And thanks to ali's question in the "Ask Esmer" thread, now that I finished my sub I'm now craving chocolate...
...perhaps a chocolate milk is in the near future. If I had any ice cream, I would use the smoothie maker to make a chocolate milk shake instead.

Ooo, now that sounds good, Jenn. Commercially baked, or home made from one of your co-workers wives?Cameraman Jenn wrote:Russian fruit cake. It's almost like a soft challah bread with apricots and blueberries and pears baked into it.

Free ice cream.
Our firm is having an ice cream social today. I got a scoop of chocolate brownie and a scoop of butter pecan, with caramel and hot fudge sauces.
Back on the "lifestyle change" tomorrow (sigh)...

Ohhh, that stuff's good. I picked up some not long ago that was powdered and packed in individual-serving packets (like you'd get Swiss Miss or whatever). Very tasty!Menolly wrote:Sipping my first ever made at home cup of Mexican hot chocolate, made with
The directions call for adding additional sugar to taste. Trust me, it's not needed.

Trader Joe's cranberry pumpkin bread heated nicely in the microwave and lightly topped with butter. Yummers.

Inna was here and brought more fresh Russian Fruit Cake. Yummers. I put a little unsalted sweet cream butter on it this time and heated it in the microwave. Delicious.

We had some holiday treats this afternoon, courtesy of the building management. Of the appetizers, I had spanikopita, crab quesadilla, and some kind of pierogi-ish thing with curry in it. From the desserts, I had a mini-tart filled with pudding and fresh fruit...a massive ginger-and-white-chocolate cookie...and chocolate-covered marshmallows on a stick.
This morning, an attorney who works with my neighbor's boss dropped off a massive plate of homemade cookies on my neighbor's ledge. I think I had about six of those.
Color me stuffed....

My guy from Joseph Schmidt Chocolates was in and so I literally have twenty pounds of truffles on my desk. He brought me two kinds, the dark chocolate ones and the black and white ones. Lucimay is going to take some off my hands and I have been pawning them off on customers since he left them.
