Finger Prints on the Opened Door

Post by lurch »

I am a thief who leaves his finger prints on the evidence. I do not own what I leave my prints on and I am sure guilty of sullying the goods. But none the less :

The Tide gave me, her perfect shell.
Hers was the walk to it.
It now reminds her of my kisses there.
The seasons gave me the harvest.
Hers was the expectation of it.
When winter came,Its framed memory,
left a white shadow on my wall.
Swift currents she splashed against.
To my extended hand she reached.
The wet weight broke our slippery grasp.
All I had, could not save her from the rapids.
Earths eons patiently waited,,
for an instant of clear vision.
Looking at the moment from her palm,
She asked , " can I have it?"
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

Grapes
Grapes...
I Love grapes.
White to black sweet to tart
Thompson ,my content with , no wrath in thee
Muscat Scuppernong catawba
head over heals with Niagara
Heart of my heart beats if not for Ojaleshi

Orb of jelly, orb of jam..
with All my concentration,Concord I invoke
Orb of juice! Orb of preserve!
Its to you I toast!!
Tale of the Vine,, boil and trouble
Like a rat, bubbles cast Tiny
lays low the sweet waheni.

Grapes!!..their shot heard around the world
Temperate mother zone
birth of vitis vinifera,
labrusca,
raparia
aestivalis
rotundefolia
mustangensis
The kiss of the sun brings to reason
no war was ever fought for a raisin.

Grapes my sherry amore!
Won't you come out tonight
put your red dress on
I'll make you mine -o mine.
skoe.. di.. oh..
Grapes...are just GRAPE!
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

The Hits Just Keep On Coming

I got a Bill today
for last months water.
I got a Bill today
for last years slaughter.
I got a Bill today.
A Teen aged Daughter!??
I got a Bill today
birthed by my Mother
I Got A Bill Today
God wants no dollar
I got a Bill today,
and I am paying it, paying it, paying it,,..!!..,.,!!,,!!!
with tomorrow's,,,,,, Love.
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

The hammer of the alarm clock
opened the perfect egg of the dream;
yoke and whites spilling into the day
guilty of a crime uncommitted.
Half remembered fully confused
its appetite the breakfast starves.
Bits of shell flicked off the conscious,
yet the day is stained by its ocher.
Alien embryo in this world
disturbs 'til returned to its Mother,
a Mother so caring and Loving,
She only gives birth to what is free.
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

Love told me to write this poem.
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

I absolutely love this line.
