Free SRD books!

Post by Mortice Root »

Today is my birthday, and in the tradtion of the hobbits, I'm giving away presents!!

I have a set of hard cover copies of the 1st Chrons that I no longer need. (No, I'm not nuts. :) I have "reader" paperback copies, and recently found a very nice set of hardbacks - in a slipcase no less). So I have an "extra" set that I'm willing to part with - and who better to appreciate them than my friends at the Watch.

So anyone can speak up for one, two or all three of the following:

LFB - This is the Book Club Edition, with art by Janice Tate. There's mild-moderate edgewear on both the jacket and the book. The page facing the inside front cover has a stamp (initals and date) from a former owner. The binding is good, the pages are slightly dull. Good used condition.

TIW - This is a first edition, with jacket art by S.C. Wyeth. The jacket shows a fair ammount of edgewear, especially on the spine. There are also two 1/4 inch tears wear the cover folds over to the inside flaps. The page facing the inside front cover has an inscription in ink from a former owner. There's some tilt to the spine. The binding is good and the pages are white.

TPTP - A second edition, jacket art by S.C. Wyeth. The jacket has moderate chipping, especially on the spine, and some faint edgewear. The book itself is in great coniditon - crisp binding, tight pages - better than you would expect from a 30 year old book.

All jackets are in protective covers.

Whoever posts a response first can have any or all of them. I'd prefer a post rather than a PM to start with - just so that if the first poster is only interested in one book, everyone else can see what's already gone.

After they're spoken for, folks can PM me with their address.

For folks inside the US, I'll spring for shipping. For international folks, I'd have to check and see what the cost is, but I may ask for some reimbursement.

I'm interested, MR, as I just bought my own used set of the chronicles in paperback a few months ago. With all three of us here fans of the series, I have no idea how long they'll hold up.

But..are you sure you want to part with these?
