"Those who know me have no need for my name."
I think I'll go just far enough up the unholy tree to get an undead pet and spend the rest on frostiness.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

DK seems a very interesting hybrid class. All three trees look like they can do pretty good dps if specced that way, and each of them has a few good tanking talents. Even the tanking stance, Frost Presence, doesn't specifically favour the Frost tree (though people will spec it for the Improved version).
Blizzard are really trying to make hybrid classes good at their off-spec roles, but I don't think DKs even have a fixed spec role.

Added an edit to the post above for the build I'm looking at.

Crap. A PvP flagged Orc ran past the mailbox right as I was clicking it. I was taken down quick by the Peacekeepers. Ouch.
The worst part is, I've been thinking for the last two weeks how easy it would be for that to happen (especially with PvP-flagged mounted Taurens sitting on top of quest NPCs, ugh).
Edit: Couple of Horde kind of wandered my direction whiel I was questing then ran off; when I looked my flag was down, so I'm guessing it expired just in time, heh.
Edit2: New WotLK info. Vanity pets and mounts will no longer take bag space.

Ouch. I have come really close to doing that a few times on QD.
I did recently teleport straight from a battleground to Gadgetzan - flagged, with my pet on aggressive. That was just embarrassing.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Aww...
I have never been able to complete that quest. Tried about 6 times, and it's always bugged.
I'm going to solo ZG when I'm 80. Maybe. Depends on the drop rate on that tiger mount.
After I solo a few Fel Reavers and... maybe I should make a list.
I can't see the Death Knight specs - will have to check those out when I get home.

Both Unholy and Frost look pretty interesting. Leaning towards Frost at the moment because Unholy reminds me a lot of D2 Necromancers, and that was never a class I was into playing. Some of those talents are going to force some pretty dramatic changes to PvP.

By the way, have you seen the Paladin talent Divine Guardian yet?
There's a lot of stuff now that goes raid-wide rather than group-wide, and a good few new talents that allow personal abilities to give additional affects to party members. Will make for some interesting changes.

Necromancers in Guild Wars were fun to play. Never bothered with summoning minions, but the health sapping, poisons, exploding corpses, and the ability to teleport to the location of a random corpse were fun.Sorus wrote:Both Unholy and Frost look pretty interesting.
