I'd say that's going a bit far. Even if it won't get you to 70, it's still going to be exploited. :?

As to tipping crafters/enchanters... I do every time. But enchanters will often gladly do an enchant for free (with your mats) if it gives them a skill point - some will even tip you.

Kind of a related question to the enchanter one. I've been meaning to ask... When you ask for a rogue to pick a lockbox you've run across, how do you go about it. If you put it in the trade window, as I'd imagine you'd do it, how do you know what's inside the box when he picks it?

Put the box in your 'not-to-be-traded' slot; the rogue will pop the lock, and you do the actual opening.

Yeah, lockpicking is easy, don't ever pay anyone to do it. If I'm standing around in a city it's common for a trade window to just pop up unsolicited with a lockbox at the bottom. Some rogues get pissy about that but I don't mind, it's just two mouse clicks at the end of the day.

The enchanting issue is something of a sore point for me, I had to introduce a policy of never doing enchants for twinks after getting screwed over a couple of times. It would always be the same, I'd have to go to the customer who would almost invariably be in Stormwind when I'd be out farming in Silithus, EPL or Felwood, they'd give me the mats but then stall over my 10g fee.

I'm sorry, but if you aren't prepared to give me 10g when you've just used up 200g of mats for an enchant that I had to run Molten Core God-knows-how-many times to get, and that I travelled to you for, then you're not worth my time and effort. So, now I never deal with twinks under any circumstances, unless they're people whose mains I know.

I still think enchanting is the most broken of all the professions. Apparently enscription will allow players to use the mats to create a 'template' which could then be sold at the auction house. I don't know why Blizzard didn't do the same thing with enchanting years ago.

Yeah, it';s pretty mcuh the only profession where you can't sell the stuff you do through the AH. Hopefully the rumour about enchanting scrolls is true.

FYI, the Death Knight's talent trees have had a major revamp in the last build, which I only jsut found out about. They've completely changed a lot of stuff in there. Just working it out now.

Edit: Still puzzling this out, because wowhead hasn't updated this stuff, but it looks like they've switched Freeze effects and talents affecting Frozen targets for a disease called Frost Fever, not entirely sure what the effects are.

Edit2: And it turns out there's a new beta build incoming today, so more changes, more new info.

According to my honor page, I racked up 48 kills in an assault on Halaa today. Also now have 81 Battle Tokens--just need to start collecting crystal powder now, I guess.

Odd fight, really. Mostly low levels, and the hrode side was almsot 50/50 Paladins and Hunters. Toward the end we actually got a Priest on our side who knew how to Mass Dispel. :D

My basic rule is, tip generously for any service that requires trust. Enchanting related transactions are a good example, I also tip generously for anyone who DE's stuff for me. If it doesn't require trust, like lock picking, then it's not really a thing. (I usually throw the guy a couple of silver for his time).

Now if someone gives you a port or a summon to Shatt, you better tip :) Getting a summon together when your soloing is a HUGE pain in the ass. (By the way, if you are in a major city, it's definitely worth it to /who mage 70 and try to bribe a mage to come port one of your toons to Shatt [This works at any level]) Then you can set your hearth there and your hearth is essentially at every capitol. (And makes for much easier traveling)

I got my other shields enchanted... And realised I probably got them the wrong way round. Ack.
(I put Block on the one with Dodge, and Stam on the one with Block. It's a close call, but I think I should have stacked block on the one that already got me closer to crush-immune*...)

*Point for point, Block Rating goes further than Dodge rating.

It's going to be pretty funny if it turns out to be -literally- a hog. I am picturing the armored ones from RFK, so green is certainly possible.
