So when Fist gets upset at your comments, you will say he reacted too?Menolly wrote:You reacted, Lore.
It was someone else who carried on, and on, and on...
That's just not for me, if the same thing is going to be said over and over. And that is precisely what happened. Pretty much.

PETITION TO KEEP SYL IN THE FOLD
Let this be an official appeal to Syl... to reconsider leaving P3. Any and all arguments should be voiced! Just think of the ignorant children running around mindlessly... it would be a terrible waste. After all of the guidance we've gotten here from Syl--the least we can do is remind everyone why we are here, and why he has the mastery to monitor purgatory and still make an appearance here from time to time!

I asked privately regarding it as well. I sincerely hope he reconsiders.Fist and Faith wrote:I've been begging Syl to stay in private, but hadn't thought to do so in public. An injustice that I thank madsage for rectifying.
Very much so.Fist and Faith wrote:Eiran would be a much diminished place without Syl and the line of Simjen.
Oh, c'mon Syl! How can you resist that? The AllFather wrote:besides, there were very intriguing developments for the Aarklar storyline which only barely scratched the surface thus far...

Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. And while I admit a certain curiosity, I'm playing Aarklar for more than that. I had my own goals and objectives when setting out with this character, and I don't think I've seen much movement towards those. And after working pretty hard at establishing a solid foundation (at the expense of other things, as may be noted by my relative DR), I still don't see much chance of those things happening.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Well, you certainly chose a hard theme to play, but I'd say that you're a bit premature in your assessment. After all, this is only the eighth turn...Syl wrote:Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. I hope you don't quit Syl, especially since I was just about to overrun your cities with my giant hairy pain spider minions while leading the fray on the back of the rainbow pony that my flying chipmunks stole out from under uKulwa's nose....

What Xar said. Hell, it took three games for some of my stuff to start working!
Hell, I've complained about similar things often enough. So on the one hand, who am I to tell you to hang in there... OTOH, My ideas have never been nearly as complex as yours, so it couldn't possibly come this soon. So, uh, hang in there? The little I know of what you're doing makes me scream with curiousity!

Xar, will deadline be Aug 3oth?
And do you like this idea?
And do you like this idea?
Fist and Faith wrote:Since turns will be taking a long time from here on out, I suggest we still have deadlines come within 2 weeks of getting results. If processing is going to take a while, let's not take longer getting to it, eh? However, maybe those who need it can submit after deadline, until Xar says he's begun processing. So they get more time, but Xar doesn't have to wait for them.
