How so?
Judgment Day was prevented in T2. Impossible, since John was fathered by Kyle Reese who came back in time. If there is in fact "no fate but what we make", then that creates a nasty time paradox.

T2 is one of those films that the more I think about it, the less I like it.
The twist of the first Terminator is that in trying to prevent John Conner's birth, the machines enabled it.

I enjoyed T2 and T3, but they changed the first movie's hopeful twist, because it's apparent in the last 2 that the machines caused their own creation, a paradox of impossible proportions (ignoring, for the moment, the impossibility of time travel).

I've not gone mad. She doesn't do it for me. It's her bug eyes. Big, bulgy bug eyes. I'd worry about hurting her feelings by saying this, but I know that bug girls don't cry.

What does this have to do with Terminator again?
Back to the topic, there is a lot of potential in the storyline that the show is laying out but there is a real danger that it could fizzle and die before it gets anywhere near being consistently interesting.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned how much Sarah Connor looks like the Queen Gorgo babe from 300.

Er, umm, she was Queen Gorgo in 300.

I recognized Lena Headey from the Brothers Grimm.

Every time I think her name, I hear Harvey Korman muttering in the background, "That's Hedley!"

Hah, old dANdeLION sure suckered you! Of course he knows Hedley was in Blazing Saddles!

I'm surprised there was no chatter after the finale last week.

I think the show rocks, and I'm looking forward to where it goes next season.

I fell behind in the series - I have about 5 or 6 episodes on my DVR that I need to watch.

OK, I finally got around to watching the last 4-5 episodes, and Cail's right, this show rocks.

Woefully hulu does NOT have the first eps of season 4 of BSG. I can't watch the more recent ones until I watch those and I have not had much luck at finding them online. I decided to check out the Sarah Connor Chronicles instead of searching further for the BSG eps. Anyone know where I can find the first four episodes of Battlestar Galactica season four online?

In the last couple of days I've zipped merrily through season 1 of SC Chronicles. It started off ok but uninspiring, but it actually became pretty damn good with time. One of the benefits to it being a series rather than a film is it looks at different ways of using terminators, and the consequences that could never occur in the films because they cover too short a time period. When season 2 hits DVD, I'm getting it.

Also, it rekindled my recently dormant infatuation with Summer Glau. She was good in Firefly. She was weird as a terminator - to start with. But Cameron rapidly grew on me, and she has some very River-like moments, such as her (very) occasional attempts at completely deadpan humour. I love Summer.

If you have Cable, you could check "On Demand" (unless that's where you got S1-3). I noticed the other day, they have at least 3 seasons available (maybe 1-3 or maybe 2-4), not sure if they're free or 99 cents, though.

Just found out this was cancelled. I'm exasperated. This, Firefly, Dark Skies, and many others... What is it about quality that makes cancellation so appealing?

Unfortunately this series didn't keep the quality coming. By the midpoint in this past season, I was done with it.

Summer is hot though. ;)

I thought it was the best show on tv and had improved as it went along. In the first half of S1, I struggled to care about John Conner. By the end of the show I was hooked on his story.

Just blasted through season 2. It certainly wasn't up to season 1's standard, being lacking in characterisation and somewhat bludgeoning us with some plot elements (John Henry, for instance). Still, it was enjoyable enough and I was intrigued to see where things would go after the season climax (though also a little concerned that it was getting out of its depth).

Shame it was cancelled. The main thing I'm going to miss, though, is Cameron. I love to just watch her doing stuff. I think Summer Glau is a great actress.

I really liked where it was going, and thought it was a shame it was cancelled.
