- do we cover stories like this because of the rarity of virgins over 18?...

Well, if they wanted to go all official about it a gynecologist can look to see if her hymen is still intact. Not to mention losing your virginity hurts like a SOB and there is blood.

A million dollars? Listen if this guy has that kind of money laying around for his virginal removal just get a cheap flight to Las Vegas, Nevada and travel the only state that has legalized prostitution. You would be better off finding an escort service with womanly perks rather than some clueless teenager on E-bay.

The only thing strange about this is that anyone would pay that much for sex. Prostitution has been around for centuries. Prostitution is legal in Nevada (where this 22-yr-old is selling it). So there is absolutely nothing strange about this except the price tag. Why would anyone think virginity is worth that much?

And the more I think about that, the more disturbing this precedent seems. Can you imagine how hard it's going to be for young men everywhere to talk their girlfriends into giving it up? Women are already "gate keepers," of a sort. They already have a powerful position in that bargain. Now, thousands of girls around the country are going to get the exaggerated impression that their genitalia are worth 1000 times their weight in gold. God, I feel sorry for teenagers trying to get laid for the first time nowadays.

Some women wait. I dated a virgin in her 20's. And she was still one when we broke up. Then again, we didn't date very long. And no, it wasn't for that reason - it was more that she was more interested in kow-towing to her controlling friend than she was in having a boyfriend. In fact, she offered it to me one night when she was mad at her friend, but I knew we would both regret it. Y'see....I'm a good guy. For the most part.
