If you had a band what would you name it?

Who's listening to what, what's going on in the music industry....

Also what would you play? What style would it be?

I'd play air guitar, or if the need arrises I would play bass guitar.

My band would be called (ok, I dont nkow how this came about but me and my friends thought of it one day...) Prosthetic Nipples

Not a very good name is it?

I'd call it Clear Frontier. I'd sing lead, play guitar and write the music for the past 20 years. I would also learn to play bass, keyboard and drums so that I could record some of the songs myself and I'd do if from the high school talent show in 11th grade all the way to present day. :-) I'd also have ROdAN play bass guitar with the band off and on from the very beginning. :D

Ominous Domino - I have no musical training. I'd have to be the manager, songwriter, or maybe just a roadie. I've been thinking of picking up the bass, though. It'd probably be stoner rock, somewhere between Tool and Queens of the Stone Age.

Boneless Opera, Jesus Salad, Screaming Bunnies and Holy Mackerel are all names I have unsuccessfully attempted to use in the many bands I have played bass in (Clear Frontier, Simple Faith, Sensory Detail, Joshua Judges Ruth, Altered Ego, Turning Point, etc.) I prefer to have complete control of a band, so I rule it from the Bass Guitar position.

Mine would be called Smaug, and I'd play the drums (seeing as that's about all I can do). My buddy Joe Smith would play bass (he's a kick-ass bass player, to put it very mildly), and my other friend Jesse Beard would do vocals. I'd write all the songs. I've got a ton of poems to last a few albums, anyway.

Thanks to Syl Ominous Domino is the name of the house band at Ahira's Hangar! I've played in two bands but always wanted to front a band called Horsefire--sorta of a bizzare combination between The Mahavishnu Orchestra (for any of you old enuf 2 remember it: John McGlaughlin, Jan Hammer, Rich Laird, Jerry Goodman, Billy Cobham) & Neil Young and Crazy Horse. :D

I guess since the band's Smaug, we might call our album “There and Back Again”. It could contain about 6 poems of mine made into song, and then it'd be a classic album. Stuff like "Suicide" and "Momma".

Rhymes With Clown

I would use the songs I have already written. so lyricist. I would play the odd instrument in studio, having no talent for it, i should avoid playing live. i would add horrible vocals. and sampling, collages. and art direction. album covers, videos.

Well, when I was in a band for a couple of years we called it "Kazuo Kiriyama" (after going through "Operation: Hawaii" and "Folkestone Central" amongst others).

I intend to have another band soon. I will play drums. I'm planning on learning bass soon as well, but my drumming has a three year head start on that, plus I think I'll still enjoy the drums more.

I don't know what it'll be called, though. I was considering furthering my Iain Banks fandom and naming it after a Culture ship, but who knows.
