True Blood based on book series by Charlaine Harris shown on HBO Cable since premiering on Sept. 7, 2008. Over the past summer there was lots of advertisements and hype built up over this new vampire series and how it was based on an exptremely popular book series. (Examples of the hype, lots of little making of mini episodes shown and available and lots of promotion at San Diego ComicCon).
Then it comes on the air. HUGE disappointment. This series is badly written, poorly plotted, badly acted, and it does not live up to the hype that this is a new take on a vampire series.
