Anyone in Mass?
Are you in Mass or surrounding area? Do you like poetry? If yes and yes, did you know there's a Mass Poetry Festival this weekend?
I'll be attending Saturday. If you feel like stopping by, I'll be at the Shakespeare's Monkeys booth along with some of the other SM's patrons!
Full schedule of events can be found here: www.masspoetry.org
(admins, please feel free to move this thread where it belongs, if not here)

I used to live in Mass but I switched coasts.

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

12 years, eh? This is my 17th year as a student in a Catholic School. That Catholic education really has a deep imprint, doesn't it?AjK wrote:Hahaha. Me, too. I guess in my case 12 years of Catholic School education is hard to shake. Of course I am not sure why I assumed that anyone in a mass would have a laptop with them...
In my case I assumed not physically in a Mass while visiting the site, but rather either a frequent lay minister or going to some holy day observation that I wasn't aware of.

Indeed. I went to a "standard" Catholic elementary school and then an all-male prep high school. (Let the jokes begin!Auleliel wrote:That Catholic education really has a deep imprint, doesn't it?

K-12 plus 4 years in a Catholic University.AjK wrote:Auleliel wrote:This is my 17th year as a student in a Catholic School.You win! (I think...)
Ditto about the demerits, but for some reason, in all my years of Catholic schooling, only two or three of my teachers ever was a nun/sister/priest. Most of my teachers were lay, and several weren't actually Catholic.Indeed. I went to a "standard" Catholic elementary school and then an all-male prep high school. (Let the jokes begin!). That was enough for me. I still think I am going to get a demerit if I am late for something! Gotta watch those nuns...

I suspect that is due to their evolution over time. I was in those schools in the 60's and 70's. Boy have we derailed JazFusion's thread! Sorry, 3 demerits for Auleliel and me...Auleliel wrote:in all my years of Catholic schooling, only two or three of my teachers ever was a nun/sister/priest.
