Yeah, but typewriters are much more tactile, and I can scribble all over what I write with them without having to wait to print it off. And for me there's something very, well, authentic, about using a typewriter to write stories instead of a computer.aliantha wrote:Auleliel wrote:I get it, even though I'm a young'un. I have two. I usually alternate between the typewriter and the computer. First draft hand-written, second draft editing as I type it with the typewriter, third or fourth draft editing as I type it into the computer, mess around with it for a while, print it off, mess around with it some more, and so on and so forth.

I've got a typewriter at my desk at work, which I use mainly for filling out forms. It's also quicker for typing envelopes than typing the info into Word and then getting up and loading the envelope into the printer (and hoping somebody doesn't send another job to the printer before I can get back to my desk and hit the "do it" button
).

Actually, I chip my writings into stone, and then I transfer them to longhand via pencil, then crayon, then pen, then to typewriter, then to computer. I don't want to lose anything and by putting them into stone first makes me really be creative, but also keeps my words and thoughts compact, as it is a tiring process.

So get wasted all of the time
And you'll have the time of your life
