The Illearth War available on audio November 3rd

Post by Audio Covenant »

Hi everyone, Scott Brick here. Just wanted to let you know the next installation in the (audio) Chronicles of Thomas Covenant will be available November 3rd from my website. Also, the final volume of the First Chronicles, The Power That Preserves, will be out April 1st (I swear that's not an April Fool's joke, either). In all, there will be six science fiction titles available over the next six months, and they'll all be available for pre-order November 3rd.

We'll have discounts available if you're interested in picking up the entire First Chronicles, said discounts also available if you've already purchased Lord Foul's Bane. You can also sign up for a monthly subscription if you want. We've got lots of cool stuff coming, so I hope you'll check it out. And thank you for your support thus far, I really appreciate it.

I tell ya, doing these books on audio has been the coolest excuse to re-read them, the first time in a few years. They just keep getting better. I wept like a baby three or four times while I was in the studio on this one. Can anyone guess which scenes...? Now THAT'S a quiz!

Best,

Scott Brick

Are you a storyteller, Thomas Covenant?

I was, once.

And you gave it up? Ah, that is as sad a tale in three words as any you might have told me. But a life without a tale is like a sea without salt. How do you live?

I live.

Another? In two words, a story sadder than the first. Say no more -- with one word you will make me weep.

Audio Books

Post by paul.mac »

The entry on your website selling the TC audio books says that they cannot be purchased by people in the British Commonwealth. There is no organisation called the 'British Commonwealth' - look on Wikipedia.

Also the drop down list of country names in the order screen includes pretty much all the countries of the world - I haven't checked them all obviously - but it certainly includes United Kingdom and Australia , 2 members of the Commonwealth.

This seems a very strange exclusion to me and if I entered my UK address etc in full would the sale fail?

Thanks

Paul - a citizen of the United Kingdom

Our website? We just provide a link to Scott Brick's website. You might want to add a comment or email Scott from that site.

I do know that Scott has been having fierce problems obtaining the rights to sell his audio books in the UK.

Has anyone purchased this? I'm really interested in this, but would love some feedback before I pull the trigger and get it.

My wife and I just got back from a long road trip and really enjoyed the 2 audiobooks we listened to and plan on having an audiobook night once a week where we just relax listening by candle light.
