I've only seen one episode so far (slow downloads online, failing to notice when it's on TV), and I have a nit to pick.
Mohinder's discovery is far too easy. Any idiot could see that people who are just getting their powers tend to lose control of them when they get emotional (cf. Peter, Ted). The company has been studying these powers for decades - there is no way in hell they'd have missed something as simple as that. So how the hell is that a big discovery that's eluded people for years?
One of this show's main weaknesses is the way the writers just shoehorn things like this in so that the story they want to tell can work.

Can Heroes be saved?

I think this season is much better than Season 2, but obviously not as good as the first season.

I'm inclined to agree, except his discovery seems to have netted him results that are different from what he expected, sort of like the 'solution' used in Jurassic Park. I really don't think he got the formula right, which indicates he didn't figure it out at all.Murrin wrote:Mohinder's discovery is far too easy.

Nice episode last night; I always enjoy a good back story.

Had the episode showing what happened to Arthur Petrelli, Sylar, and Meredith last night. Pretty sure it flung at us a whole host of continuity errors.
1- If Nathan atually did think Arthur died of a heart attack, why did he and Angela tell Peter that he comitted suicide in S1?
2- Right after Sylar is driven to start killing, Bennet gets into Mohinder's cab. Meaning that Sylar had killed Chandra Suresh before all this happened (Ok, I'll buy that much, though it seems odd if he was so guilty about the first murder that he'd work for Suresh so long, then kill him, and only try to kill himself afterward); but if he was only driven to become a serial killer at this point in the story (halfway through Genesis), how was he so well known and hunted by the FBI the time Matt Parkman showed up (2nd or 3rd episode)?

I am enjoying the series but I don't like the idea about a secret Formula that can give people powers n stuff.... I feel that it makes the Heroes not that special because anyone can have them.
Also don't like the fact that Syler has 1. lost all his previous powers but Telekinesis 2. Not killing people to get new powers(from 2 plus Clair). I hope Syler returns to his old self.
Some of the characters have really good powers and they left too quickly. Man who could make Vortex, that was cool power. Doyle and his Puppet Master power was really good, hope he comes back in sometime. Knox's power is really good as well but he has a place in the series.
I felt they killed off The German too quickly because he could develop as a good villain.

One thing that still really annoys me about this show is the way they use 9th Wonder. It keeps coming up, these comic books that show Hiro's entire story, and yet, whenever they find one, they almost never look forward beyond what's currently happening. It's always "look, this shows us saying what we're saying now", or at a stretch, "here's what we'll be doing in three panels". The only time they've ever actually turned the page beyond the present to look at the future was season one, with the image of Hiro stabbing Sylar. It jsut annoys me that these characters never even think to read to the end.
