So sad to see her pass away. She was such a contributor to the franchise

Oh...

Wow.

Truly a loss to us. Thank you, Majel.

Farewell, Majel...or Doctor Chapel. Sad that you are gone, but glad that you are no longer suffering.

The very first Number One. Farewell. :(

Crap! I can hardly believe it. I read that she had just completed her voiceover work for the Enterprise computer in the new Star Trek film.
One last performance for us.

I will miss her.

Wow I just read this. A truly sad moment in Star Trek history.

Bones - Deforest Kelly
Scotty - James Doohan
now Nurse Chapel - Majel Barrett Rodenberry

Its sad to see all those I grew up seeing passing away. They will be missed.

She had roles in every Star Trek series - she was Troy's mother in TNG and also DS9.

Godspeed.

Unfortunately, we may be losing several more in the not too distant future. Kirk and Spock both turn 78 in March 2009, Uhura 76 in December 2009 and Sulu is 72 in April. Checkov is 73 in September 2009. William Shatner will probably live to be 150, George Takei seems pretty spry still too, but, the rest of them are really beginning to show their age.
