Ok, I don't know if they still do this (local went out of business) but Subway used to post a notice of who the local chain owner was.
Here it said "This Subway is proudly owned and operated by David A. Studd.

Also, here near Buffalo, a guy was running for office. Sign said "Vote for Randy Elf" which a university professer brought up in his classes and made jokes about (including "I prefer a celibate dwarf" and "Aren't all politicians randy?) The guy won, and when he came up for re-election, his signs said "Randall"

Last...one of my high school teachers named a child Peter Peters and was upset that his nickname became "pumpkin" (I find it more amusing personally that whenever he's alphabetical, he's Peters Peter)

I used to date a guy who's last name was Egge, pronounced Egg-ee. I told him if we ever had kids I was totally naming them Scrambled Ham and Poached Hollandaise. I may have mentioned this but my best friend in high school is my friend Wyatt who's last name is Case. He claimed if he had kids he was naming them Basket and Head. We used to commonly call his younger brother Justin even though his real name was Miles. My sister's married last name is Parker. I totally think she should have named the girls Mercedes and Ford. :P

As a disclaimer, I don't think the names in the article I posted are funny as in a ha ha funny way. As Menolly can attest I spent some time trying to figure out where to post the article. I believe in free speech but I also believe those kids are gonna suffer for the naming and it's unfair.

Not sure if I also mentioned that my maiden name is Christensen and my married name was Christianson. My friends were pushing me to hyphenate it to Christensen-Christianson.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Oh , the burdens of life..boo hoo. Hey, if it don't kill ya , it'll only make ya stronger. Kids got it too easy these days. Why,, when I was a kid, there was Maryanne Sacheitza and Louise Crewi and and Harold Hornblatt,,we had our way with them and they had their way with us. It was great!..And look at us today!..We're all well adjusted socially successful middle class zombies just like we were intended to be!. Why?..because we made each other this way when we were kids. The incredible tectonic pressures of peer group acceptance has its way! Name your kids Binklesnocker and Whalelips!! Make'em strong 12 different ways!! If every parent named their kids similarly, Look Out World!!

If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

When I was pregnant with my son, my friend Kirk was pushing for the name "Dick Mann-Sword". My husband's last name is Mann and my maiden name was Sword. Of course, Spider Mann, Bat Mann and Super Mann were all suggested as well.

There's also a boy at my sister's school named Shithead, pronounced "sh-thed".

I woman I used to work with was named Sharaka ("sh-rock-uh"), but she told me that her name is actually pronounced "she-reek-uh" and she wasn't quite sure what her mother was smoking when she named her. lol

And the best list of all!

1. 4Real Superman Wheaton

4real Superman Wheaton was born in February 2008. The New Zealand court didn’t accept to register his name because numerals are not allowed in names. The parents, however, are debating this law. If they cannot name him 4real, they will call him “Superman,” officially, but friends and family will call him “4real.” They were inspired when they saw the baby for the first time under the ultra-sound and discovered he was “for real!”.

2. Camera Ashe

Camera Ashe is daughter of tennis player Arthur Ashe. She was named after his wife’s profession (photographer). Very weird to call your children by wife’s occupation!

3. GoldenPalaceDotCom Silverman

GoldenPalaceDotCom Silverman is a $15,000 name. The Internet casino GoldenPalace.com bought the name on eBay from expecting parents, and got more than it paid for in media attention. The branded baby was born in May, 2005. Actually, the little guy was not the first GoldenPalaceDotCom, a mother of five, Terri Illigan, sold her naming rights for $15,199, and changed her name to GoldenPalace.com, as well.

4. Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen Zappa

Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen Zappa is the youngest child of Frank Zappa. Her siblings are Moon Unit Zappa, Dweezil Zappa and Ahmet Zappa. Apparently, she was screaming louder than any other baby in the nursery, and that’s how she got the name “Diva.” And I suppose “thin muffins” make you scream, too.

5. Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K.

Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K., pronounced, “Your Highness,” was born in February of 2003 to Evelyn and Kendall. This name is (in case you missed it) a reference to the illicit drug ketamine.

6. Espn Malachi McCall

Espn Malachi McCall (pronounced “Espen”), born in August 2001, is the youngest of three children in the world known to be named ESPN. Like Espn Curiel in Corpus Christi, and Espn Blondeel in Michigan, McCall’s parents are sports fans. His middle name means a biblical messenger of God, so they sometimes call him “the sports messenger.” If they have another son, they will name him Fox Sports McCall.

7. Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K.

Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K., pronounced, “Your Highness,” was born in February of 2003 to Evelyn and Kendall. This name is (in case you missed it) a reference to the illicit drug ketamine

8. Manchestar Yunayted

Manchester is a guy from the Bulgarian town of Svishtov. He legally changed his name after the famous english football club.

9. Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116

Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (pronounced Albin) was a name given to a child by the parents of a Swedish family, which they described as “a pregnant, expressionistic development that we see as an artistic creation.” The name was rejected by a Swedish court and they were charged a fine. The child’s name was later changed to A (also pronounced Albin), but this too was rejected. On his first passport, the boy’s name reads “Icke namngivet gossebarn,” meaning “unnamed little boy.”

10. Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined

…is a very weird kid from Glastonbury, Somerset in Britan!
