This one's also good - I especially like the first line.

I don't even care about the WGDs. I just wanted to enter one of these, for once.

Here's mine it's nearly a rant!
Who cares? I'm really puissant
All your money is mine
I won't leave ya'a dime,
I need that raver you
Spoiler
cant

NB alternative 2-syllable pronunciation of puissant 'poos-ant' and please note, Australian accent on last word!

Edit - mods, please feel free to delete if warranted!

My sincere thanks for the extension, wayfriend.
Here is my humble entry in it's entirety...

There once was a man named Covenant
Who found himself in a predicament
When he came to the Land
He did not understand
That escape was no true medicament

The unclean driven forth from the village

With flesh newly kindled to fever
His clasp of young Lena did grieve her
Ardent haste to defile
Argent’s source in denial
Truth troubles your dream, Unbeliever

Fantastic marauder in pillage

Not all the Land’s pleasures were muscular
For Andelain’s treasure crepuscular
Set his head reeling
Soon he was feeling
Protective and rather avuncular

The protector reluctantly does homage

The Ravers triumvirate leer
Moksha Jehannum Turiya
Like damnation’s bureau
In sickly chiaroscuro
They seize ya by swearing to free ya

Infector with spiritual garbage

Glimmermere’s first inspection
Revealed no deeper reflection
Insights coruscating
Ripples undulating
Resulted from pure introspection

Deep secrets the detector must rummage

The mountain’s heart is a hallowed haunt
And Earthblood’s source is tres puissant
The quest that was planned
For the Power of Command
Was merely vainglorious vaunt

Instructor in futility at the invisible college

With grief beyond any oration
And pain that transcends all sensation
The raging Caamora
Transfigures before a
Release from time’s fierce Formication

Unusually Copious Knowledge

Despite is the ultimate element
Before we achieve any denouement
We fight only ourselves
And must look to the shelves
For wisdom beyond Fatal Revenant

Rejector of excess verbiage
Caedite omnes, Deus eius cognoverit.
~Pope Innocent III, said during the Albigensian Crusade (1209–29).

I can't believe I haven't noticed this thread before.

Tom felt intense formication
And Foul was close to elation
Tom would not let him win
As he whipped out his ring
Shouting "Hellfire and bloody damnation!"

Yes, it's a little shaky. :P

Yeah, how do you even begin to consider posting a limerick now? :hithead:

Hyperception, just to clarify: I'm impressed by the effort you put into your entry! Please don't think I dislike it somehow. I think all of us were simply expressing our "shock" at this eruption of creativity of yours from out of nowhere.

I,
Softly I sigh,
Lament, in verse and in rhyme,
The end of a hope. A vainglorious dime,
Banished, by puissance too bright for mere human eye.

I like that, shadow.
Evokes a wistful feeling in me.

As far as voting, mine stays the same, but transfers to Hyperception's full entry instead of the single verse I voted for earlier. Unless wayfriend says it is considered multiple entries, one for each verse that qualifies as a limerick with the assigned words. Then I'll need to attempt to choose which single verse I like the most. That would be difficult...

...but again, I'm probably biased... :grinlove:

Hyperception gets my vote.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

Hyperception gets my vote too and also gets my vote for the next two contests even if he doesn't play.
