"I would like to thank my family for their unflagging support throughout all of the long and difficult and trying times. I would especially like to thank my lovely wife Menolly ( 48 ) for keeping me just awake enough to be able to compose, for typing what I dictated, and repeating it back over and over until I was happy with it. I would like to thank the Federal Government for a variety of helpful programs, including student loans, food stamps, postal service employment, and the witness protection program. To my adoring fans, I'm glad to know that you really like me. I look forward to posting at least every other month. I hereby donate my 500 White Gold Dollars to "the old lady.""

But in all seriousness, a hearty thank you goes out to wayfriend for a well conceived contest that proved more than inspirational.

Well, I have another 500, so here goes.

This Week's Contest

This week's contest is to write a David Letterman Late Show style top-ten list about something Donaldson. If you need an example about what a "top ten list" is, go here.

For example,
  • Top Ten Leper Pick Up Lines

    10. That dress would look good ... on the floor, next to my thumb!
    9. Let me give you a leg up.
    8. Hey good looking, want a piece of me?
    7. Can you help me pick my tongue up off of the floor?
    6. Would you like my hand in marriage?
    5. Don't touch me....unless you really want to.
    4. I'd like to give a Visual Survelance of your Extremadies.
    3. Baby, you make my eyes pop out.
    2. I'll fall to pieces without you.
    1.
    Spoiler
    Pull My Finger.
Entries are accepted until I post the winner. Entries will be judged based on humor, style, medical acumen, and an ability to count to ten.

As usual, audience participation is encouraged, necessary, and appreciated.

(Yes, I ripped off the Cheesy Leper Pick-up Lines thread.)

A day late (and 500 WGD short) with my congrats, but anyway: Congrats to Hyperception, whose entry clearly outclassed mine.

Now to work on this week's contest. think...think...think...

Top 10 SRD's Initial Responses to GI Questions:

10. Oh F**k! Not another G*&(^amned question about the Creator!
9. Yeah, moron, the Land is real.
8. Ok, at the end of the story, Covenant and Linden destroy Lord Foul utterly, and move to Tahiti, where they live out their lives together. Are you happy now?
7. Hey! This asshole actually knew that I wrote something other than Covenant!
6. For. The. Last. Time. 'Anele' = 'Elena' spelled backwards. Can we move on now? Please?
5. I hate Linden Avery also, but I sure as hell can't admit that now, can I?
4. STFU
3. CameramanJenn, I know this is you. Stop stalking me.
2. How the hell should I know? Ask Wayfriend.

and the #1 response is:

1. I just have one thing to say to all of you: Get A Life, for God's sake!
