21 Jump Street
I no longer own a tv but I have watched some television online. I recently discovered that tvshack.net has the complete series of 21 Jump Street. I loved that show and find that I still do but OH how painful the fashion is.

Fine... not one stinking 21 Jump Street fan out there. It's interesting. My vague recollection of the show remembers it being kinda fluff but it isn't. Last nights episodes included Penthall blowing his cover by arresting a high school senior who was about to beat the crap out of his six or so year old brother during a roid rage. They were investigating the death of a high school gymnast who died of kidney failure from long term steroid use at the age of 16. Another one included the IAB uncovering the fact that Aoki is not really Aoki but using a false identity. It turned out that he is a Vietnamese refugee so the episode dealt with him telling his story while Captain Fuller had to reconcile his hatred and mistrust of the Vietnamese from his tours of Vietnam. It was intense.
OH OH! AND there is a whole bunch of great guest appearences by people before they became famous such as Jason Priestly and Pauly Shore and even Sherilyn Fenn playing a teenager who is being molested by her cop father so she asks an undercover Johnny Depp to kill her father for her. Good stuff people.

Christina Applegate just guest starred as the slut in rehab during an undercover sting about teenage rehab center abuse.
Holly Robinson just traded in the huge hair pushed to one side for the tina turner straight feathered look and earrings which may actually be made out of toilet seats that fabulously draw the attention away from her horrific purple cowlneck sweater which is covered by her oversized grey men's suit jacket..... Peter DeLouise is sporting a "Member's Only" jacket. I love this show.

Sin, apparently you and I are the only ones who appreciate the true subtle genious of this show.
Brad Pitt looks about fifteen....
There's also a bunch of people in it who I've seen in other stuff but I don't know their names, for example the guy with roid rage was the obnoxious boyfriend Travis from that Pauly Shore movie where he went for Thanksgiving on the farm and pretended to be the fiance of a girl from college. Also that guy who plays Red from "That 70's Show" is an obnoxious FBI agent that has shown up in several episodes. Lots of people like that.

I watched 21 Jump Street. Ever since I heard that there was going to be a FOX network I was intrigued and I pretty much watched whatever the network threw up, especially in the very early days. Just the novelty of having a fourth network was enough to get my attention at first.
I watched many of the first episodes of 21 Jump Street then went on to watch Tracy Ulman, Married With Children, The Simpsons, Get A Life, Herman's Head, Top of the Heap, Titus, Drexell's Class, In Living Color, Gary Shandling, Roc, and pretty much anything else. Much of it wasn't exactly Emmy Award winning material but there were a few bright moments however it seemed pretty clear to me that most of the shows were doomed from the pilot onward. You could just tell.
These days I get the feeling that I'd find it hard to watch many of those older shows, including 21 Jump Street.
(Except the Simpsons and Married With Children of course).

In Living Color is all well and good but imagine if I HADN'T watched 21 Jump Street!
We would all still be in the dark about the return and the rise of the Empire! Now we know who the real Sith Lords are! Math teachers! We can start preparing our defenses!

In Living Color is fantastic. I picked up the first Season box set for under $10 a couple months back.
So, Math teachers are Sith Lords? That definitely explains some of my High School experiences
