Foghat, circa 1987; no Lonesome Dave, or any of the original guys except for the drummer, who wasn't playing very well that night. Still, the bassist was kicking ass, and the guitarists were okay, so it wasn't like I was offended and left early, but really, they shouldn't have toured without Dave.

worst opening act i ever saw? velocity girl hands down. couldn't even tell when they started a song. one boring mass of boredom.

Elvis Costello in the early eighties. Can't recall if the Attraction were there too or not. He was miffed about something and performed for little more than half an hour.

Very disappointing, as I was a huge fan at the time.
