Surely, you don't think I can hold out against you guys.

And congrats on getting us to page 200!

Well, it is a fact that the Eclipse alliance is more powerful than the other courts . . . but, I believe that you are not so vulnerable as you like to appear.

I think that destinction belongs to you and Menolly.

Oh, I'm not saying I'm helpless or anything. But let's face it... You have tons more power, and it's much easier to destroy than to preserve. I'm not expecting to go two more turns.

That's the spirit! :D It's all the nature of a game like this, anyway.

But, I must ask, are you trying to go cold turkey? :P

I'm in a conundrum. If you had the option of altering your character a little to emphasise a more interesting/fun side of him, but it would require completely rethinking your current and past actions and affiliations, would you take it, or continue with a more mediated approach to avoid overcomplicating things?

I had a response to part of what Zephyr said, but I realised before posting that it probably contradicted some of Bel's other decisions so far.

I'm not sure I want to end up with too many problems to deal with because I changed my mind about things already in motion.

Edit: Meh, I guess I missed my moment. The question still stands, though.

My thought is play it the way its most fun for you ... but understand the "Adomorn" effect ... take into account follower reaction and adjust play in a way that doesn't lose you significant power. Perhaps a slower change ... but not too slow.

Bel, I think the beauty of this game is that, with a few execptions (did I spell that right??), anything goes.

Join in the fun, heh. I'd love to hear what Bel has to say.

If the change would still somehow be in character, and you will enjoy playing your character more because of it, do it. No sense in just doing what seems completely logical and believable if it is diminishing your enjoyment of the game.

I'm not worried about that side of it; it's not a change in philosophy, mainly just methodology. I'm loosening Bel's restraint a little. I'm just not sure if I should go the whole way. Bel might not be strong enough for it (though it may already be too late to consider that ;)).

I don't yet know if I'll be back with another deity in P3. This course of action was clearly necessary, and it's certainly exciting, but I intend to be pretty depressed for a while. :LOLS: But I've been thinking of other domains already. If I can come up with solid ideas on how to play them, I imagine I'll jump right back in.

Curious what the Courts would have to do with Zephyr...

Allright, it's that time of the day again...

1) Yet another deity of old makes a cameo appearance in some form...

2) Someone has stepped on the feet of many deities, infringing on their domains...

3) Half of a specific landmass has sunken into the sea, indirectly due to the actions of a deity!

4) The Green Lady, one of the Lords of Eiran, has visited someone in secret...

And now an additional not-so-cryptic hint:

I'm halfway through processing and I've received Amplarx's and Unzen's turns...

Hmmmm ... I wonder if the sunken landmass is Deva's ... his player has had problems with sinking landmasses!!

Hmm. I wonder what exactly is classified as "infringing"....

I say go for it if you want to develop your god more. I started with the void fully destined to change and develop throughout the game. I have aims and goals that require gradual changes but the end result will possibly be very different from the void that began this game.

Also, to add to this, Xar has helped immensely. Even now changes are going on that will make for a very interesting plot twist or two if things carry on as such

Im saying all of this completely out of context by the way, so bear in mind im addressing you as players not as gods.

Double yay!!

...attempting to come up with an alternative for Dagon, but it obviously won't happen this turn...

Ohhh I just read the game thread

Is it bad to say Im a little excited? It amused me how Zeph struggled to name something that the void would do to the forests. Would have preferred something more believable though :P

Yes, the game thread is fun. I much prefer the interaction in the game thread. I am very excited for these results.

Can we please keep up with the discussions? It makes the game so much more engaging.

Dorian, I know what you are saying about your character development. Calais has been a real stretch for me because I must admit, I didn't like her very much at the beginning of the game. But I have been trying to tweak her a little here and a little there and I am beginning to like her a little better.

I had made so many plans in the beginning of things I wanted to do but most of those have fallen by the wayside and I have developed newer ideas that fit into what I want to do.

By the way - Pam, you have been awfully quiet lately. Is everything ok?
