Can he get a job waiting tables, or will he have to declare any tips? Good luck to him. . .JazFusion wrote: Still no jobs for the hubs, even though he's been applying to places like crazy. Unemployment is only covering less than half of our monthly income, and if he gets a part-time job he can't make more than $2.92 an hour. I'm not sure if that also includes me working part-time.
BLARGH.
When I was waiting tables you had to declare a certain percentage of tips, which was way more than $100 a week, even working part-time.Wyldewode wrote:Can he get a job waiting tables, or will he have to declare any tips? Haha, I saw a CBC news report about the advertisers for the Super Bowl - how they are maybe not selling to the female audience as well as they should. Their dearly-paid for commercials still have that frat-boy mentality which perfectly suits the guys, but they're forgetting the gals, who apparently now make up close to 40% of the viewing audience for the Super Bowl - about 38 million. It seems female viewership for the Super Bowl has grown significantly in the past few years, for whatever reason. The CBC mentioned Dove's "campaign for real beauty" from last year as being the only Super Bowl ad that was specifically aimed at women. But Dove didn't sign on for this year, and no one took their lead.Auleliel wrote:I am annoyed. I was forced to watch the Super Bowl for a Consumer Economics class. I don't really care for American football, and I could care less about the commercials. I chose a team at random to root for so the game would be more interesting, and that team lost (although the fourth quarter was a bit more exciting than the previous three). And there were only one or two interesting commercials the whole time. I wonder if there's any way I can get my wasted time refunded?
Oh no ma'am, they are right on time. Batty and Magickmaker are two years apart; Batty's college mail tapered off just as Magickmaker's geared up.Menolly wrote:So...
today I'm puzzled.
We received Beorn's sophomore year PSAT scores on Friday.
They went up from his freshman year scores, which we expected as he is a year older. And last year's were pretty good, according to what Hyperception tells me colleges look for.
But all of a sudden, I am receiving recruiting emails from colleges for him. He's a sophomore, with two and a half more years to go. This is crazy!
...isn't it?
