I just answered or welcomed or whatever it is...somebody in the "Welcome" thread. Umm, let me get another screen up and see if I can find it.
Ok, yes I found it, page 208 of summonsing/new members.
What am I doing wrong here? My welcome for Lorin was supposed to "Quote" her post.
It dosen't look that way to me. I must be doing something wrong?

Dilly, it looks like when you snipped parts of the quote out, you accidently deleted the bBC code needed as well.

Here's how what I think you wanted to do should look in your posting box:

Go back to your post and hit "edit." Compare the code above with what you see, if the way the quote turned out is how you would want it to look. Feel free to cut and paste the code into your post if you wish, above your own words.

One thing I just remembered it took me a while to learn, is that the quotation marks around the user name (i.e., "Lorin") in the code is essential. Without them, it doesn't work.

Menolly, yes I think I see it! No I'm not going to try to fix it because I'll just...well ya know, *F* it up! But yes I do see the "quote" things that I squooshed outa there while trying to make a "quote". I'll pay more attention next time. THANKS!
Wyldewode, yah yah, let someone else fix it for me. Believe me, it would be easier that way (for me) and you'll all get so sick of me that I'll be banned from the Land. HORRORS!! Anything but THAT!
I'm sure I'll be trying again soon, I sure do enjoy myself here-reading way more than participating so far...but once I get the hang of this techi stuff I'll be sharing more.
