[unnecessary whingeing]Everything was going okay until I got to Human Sexuality and the girl who sat down next to me positively *reeked* of cigarette smoke. Which I'm allergic to(it makes my migraines worse).
I made it through about a half hour, but then I had to get up and leave. It made me mad, because I'm really enjoying the class otherwise, and I missed it on Thursday because I went out of town. And now I'm in pain. And they're cutting the grass today, so I came back to my room to find it smelling faintly of gasoline.[/unnecessary whingeing]

Not unnecessary whingeing in MY books - I loathe the stench of dead cigarettes as well! I woulda puked in her lap & if she objected I'd've said 'if I gotta put up with your dirty ashtray stink, you can put up with my technicolour yawn!' Loathe smoking & smokers - I dumped a guy once cos his smoking turned me off! Ban the lot of 'em!

I'm the same with people who don't use deodorant - BO stench makes me dry-retch! I would refuse them entry into any place until they bathed & deodorised! ;)

Well, thank you for justifying my whingeing. I came back to my dorm and complained to one of my friends and she complained with me. And then we complained about body odor too. Oh well, C'est la vie(did I spell that right? I take spanish...).

Yesterday was recuperation day from unexpectedly traveling to south Florida over the weekend for the funeral of a good friend's mother. Today, we are back in to routine. It feels good, and yet...

I dunno. Maybe mid-life crises is setting in...

Care to elaborate?

Went home last night, had dinner, took Nyquil and was in bed by 9pm. I didn't exactly sleep through 'til 6am, but every time I woke up, I forced myself to go back to sleep, until the alarm went off. Feeling much better today. Altho my nose is still drippy. Wondering whether it's a sinus infection, blargh. I'm giving it 'til the end of this week -- if it's not better by Friday (three weeks from the onset), I'll make a doctor appointment.

I don't really know, ali.
Perhaps it was a friend, who is 13 years older than I am, losing her mother, who treated me with kindness for as long as I've known her (37 years), when I lost my own so young and so long ago.
Perhaps it was something as simple as breaking our routine for the weekend.
I just feel...
...melancholy, I guess.

Well, it's understandable that you'd feel melancholy after attending a funeral for a friend's mother. I believe the technical term is "grief".

8O I'm still freaked-I thought it would be fun to taken my daughter on a walk to McDonalds for a snack, then she insists on going up the tubes and slides indoor playground. Of course she gets in a far as one can possibly go and refuses to come down the slide and, finally, starts to cry. Daddy to the rescue! I had to overcome my clastrophobia and wade through old chicken McNuggets (and probably dried pee) grab her and pray to gods I didn't get stuck in the slide. Whew! It's dam hot in that contraption---never again! :faint:

A shame you have claustrophobia. I always enjoyed going in there with my kids. Yeah, despite snotty little comments by the little brats we'd find in there!

I managed to download Ep1 and watch it last night before Ep2 was on. Yes, he doesn't wear his shirt much eh!

...but I admit I have a thing for...gosh...I've forgotten his name. The dude that's been hanging out with Loch (one of The Others). Sexy as: looks like he's wearing dark eyeliner. He can come over to my place for breakfast anytime! ;)

I am annoyed at myself. I seem to have gotten myself into a vicious cycle in which I am unable (or at least lack the willpower) to do anything that I need to do (such as homework) until 2am, then I spend maybe three hours doing what I should have been doing for the previous seven, and then I get only three or four hours of sleep (and whatever work I've completed is really shoddy). Why am I doing this to myself??? :?
