Do we even need this poll? BB/DK are so much better than any other screen treament he's received...

Yes we do. While I think that Batman Begins and the Dark Knight are the best Batman films ever, not everyone agrees.Rigel wrote:Do we even need this poll? BB/DK are so much better than any other screen treament he's received...
I voted, Dark Knight.

Yah, we do. I like the first Batman more than BB. It brought a comicbook character to the big screen in a perfect way, featured Nicholson's awesome, fun performance, the film was as dark as it gets back in '89, and really changed film as far as what was possible: **** out of **** for me. BB gets *** out of ****, and DK: **** out of **** and my fav/best here.Rigel wrote:Do we even need this poll? BB/DK are so much better than any other screen treament he's received...

By the way, you do realize that the first Batman film did not feature Jack Nicholson, but used Adam West & crew from the TV show?

Batman Begins. I didn't care for the Burton or Schumacher films at all, though I thought Val Kilmer did a decent job in the part.

(Whispers) I wouldn't go admitting this to loudly around these neck-0-the-rubble, it's nigh almost blasphemy...sgt.null wrote:have yet to see either of the last two films.

That's a pretty bold statement. I liked Bale's portrayal, and I thought it was better in TDK than it was in BB (which was overly-raspy).kevinswatch wrote:I'd even say Kilmer was better than Bale.
I completely got sick of Bale's "I'm going to talk in a raspy voice through the entire movie" in The Dark Knight.
I would have liked to have seen Kilmer in a more serious Batman film. I think he would have been outstanding.

I like Bale's raspy voice if only because it's just about the only voice I'm able to imitate "perfectly". I'm otherwise horrible at doing impressions.Cail wrote:That's a pretty bold statement. (I'm pretty good at doing RE4's mercenary, if anyone ever played that. Only from tons of practice while playing with friends watching to coach me on when my impressions were badly done)
I voted Dark Knight in the end but I was really tempted to go with the original.
