Great sunsets and moon shots, lurch!

I only had occasion to see sun dogs once this winter.

On the sun theme, I took this shot when the sun was behind a thick fog.

Beautiful sunsets lurch!

I figure I've made you all wait long enough for these, not that you knew you were waiting for them... I took them from the plane on my way home from Venice like a month and a half ago. Yeah, I know, I'm lazy.

So, here you are, castle in the clouds:

I played with the hue and saturation of the last one a little...okay, a lot...but I basically left the others alone.

I took this last Friday (the night of our earthquake) at a friend's house. The kids were bored and found some sparklers. I love this pic: you can see the delight in Olive's face!

How's this? I noticed that when I shifted the color balance in a certain way, the blackness of the branches intensified. I figure you might like the effect.

I think I know what happened, Fist - the camera must've exposed for the sky, not the trees.

I used Photoshop to try to correct for the exposure. Hope you don't mind:

But txting it to my email looks better than the cell, and yours definitely looks closer to the actual level of light.
