Me too! She was certainly persistent though. I would have given up after a couple of attempts and driven away in embarrassment.

Nice one Lorin - I hope your nerves aren't too raw with a new driver around... :)

Russ took Brooke out into a huge field to teach her the basics before attempting the road...LOL!

He's doing the same with Heidi right now, and Ryan and Jordan have been driving the snow cat, so an SUV will probably be a piece of cake for them when they get their learners permits.

I stay completely out of all of it...
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

Sounds like I am in good company. My son turned 16 in November and we've been teaching him to drive, though it's been slow going with all the snow and ice we've had this winter. He's doing well. I have to tell him to speed up...I am thinking that won't last long. I find I have to be in a certain mindset to go out with him. I don't want to make him more anxious about it than he already is. He says some of his friends' parents actually grab the steering wheel and freak them out. I haven't done that, but I haven't had to either. Alot of the time I find myself thinking, "I can't believe this is happening." How did he get so big? :)

Eek! Poor you!!! I'm sure you can handle it. And you can vent here.

Luckily my little one still has 8 years to go.
