Hello all,

Very cool board. I read all of the first and second books when I was a kid. I waited impatiently as each was published. I've since read them all a couple of times, now reading them again electronically.

Fort Bragg, huh? I think there may be a few Watchers in that vicinity, or fairly close by.

unhermeneuticable!

Hello all! I was just a young lad when the First Chronicles were written, and somehow, not sure how, it escaped my voracious appetite for sci-fi/fantasy until a few months ago.

Bless our local Thrift Store! They had all three of the First, which was the main reason I bought them, along with being just finished with the Rama books and needing something new. I started the series, and was hooked! 5 books later, I have just finished the One Tree, and have the final book of the Second Chronicles being shipped to my local library. Wow, what a Treasure to find such a good Land that I had heard NOTHING about! SRD is fantastic!

By the way - I usually don't get stumped on many words, so it was refreshing to see some words I didn't know. And they kept coming. And coming. And coming! I started making a list, then trying to define the words. That is how I found KevinsWatch - In Search Of Knowledge. I also found the terrific www.gdiproductions.net/srdamd/ (Stephen R. Donaldson Ate My Dictionary) site. The word not in the dictionaries that led me here? Unhermeneuticable!

Anyway - I'll stop rambling. It's just nice to find Gems in the world when you didn't expect them.

Hail, Brion! I know what you mean about SRD's words (as does everyone else here, I reckon). I once based the selection of a dictionary on whether I could find "roynish" in it.

Welcome to the Watch Brion. :D Watch out for spoilers until you've at least finished the first 2 Chrons. (We try to be more careful about 3rd Chrons spoilers, them being new and all.)

Welcome to the watch, Brion! A lot of people have been pleased to discover the Watch, after hearing about a third chronicles series. You're the first one I know of who found it looking up a word!
