How can that be? Hrm.
The only explanation I've thought of so far is that it's the gum that's painful, and I'm just interpreting it as the tooth itself. If I prod the tooth or chew with it, I get excruciating pain - but that could be caused by fractional movement of the tooth within an inflamed gum. Either that or the dentist lied when he said he'd removed all the nerves.
Mouth nerves are weird. I had a massive toothache a few years ago; told the dentist I was sure it was tooth X, to which he replied, "Nah, that's the strongest tooth in your mouth. I'm going to pull this one back here with the gaping cavity." And shazam, the pain was gone.

Which reminds me: Have you gone to the doctor yet, Mr. Sir? And perhaps you should schedule a dental visit, while you're at it.

Yes, I went to the doctor. My rant about that can wait until tomorrow.

I have a dentist's appointment, but they can't get me in for another three weeks yet. Grr. The pain is actually very similar in type and magnitude to the pain of having a root canal filling without anaesthetic.

Im feeling pretty chirpy and upbeat despite being awash with the physical manifestations of PMS eg, lethargic, sore, bloated etc etc. I received some positive news about my visa application for Belgium.

I expect the psychological manifestations to kick in tomorrow :S

Things are looking up. Although the pain kept me awake all night, I've managed to wangle a dental appointment for monday. Yay!

Two Friday the 13ths in a row!? 8O 8O It rained all night here-probably the first time we've had precipitation since an early Dec. snow. AHHHH-feels very nice. Nothing much going on-getting taxes filed, doing two Fantasy Baseball drafts in 4 days, listening to Joe Satriani, reading Ilium and Edgar Sawtelle, dying for the next installment of LOST, hating Survivor, watching The Secret Life of Bees and jacob taking over the Watch (and wanting to smack a certain member around over his political beliefs :trout:) , excited about Mickey Rourke playing Whiplash in the Iron Man sequel.

mood: humidified, AHHHH  :ct12:

yeah...

Unless it's leap year, March's days of the week are always a repeat of February's, up until the addition of the 29th onwards. So, if there's a Friday the 13th in a regular February, the following March will have one too...

Well, why isn't it a leap year? When does leap year happen next? And would that make my 1st girlfriend 13? :?

Leap year happens every four years -- whenever there's a US presidential election. (Yes, there's probably a cosmic connection. No, I don't know what it is.)

And as for your first girlfriend -- yes, she's 13. Which means she was *definitely* jailbait when you dated her. Think on that, and be dismayed. :P

CovJr: Hang in there.... The last time I had a massive toothache, I left voicemail for my dentist at 3am saying I would be in, bright and early, the next morning because my mouth hurt so much I couldn't sleep. They managed to fit me in.

For the first time in 11 years, Friday the 13th is falling in two consecutive months. This double threat can only occur in certain non-leap years and only in a February-March combination. Look for it—or avoid it—again in 2015.

The double whammy isn't the only Friday the 13th claim to infamy for 2009, a particularly tough year for superstitious minds.

The ominous date falls on three Fridays this year: February 13; this Friday, March 13; and again on November 13.

... The result is an ordering of days and dates that repeats itself every 400 years ... When the 400-year order is laid out, another revelation occurs: The 13th falls on Friday more often than any other day of the week. "It's just a funny coincidence," Dudley said.

I am thankful because after a month of feeling like burnt moldy toast that a dog crapped on and someone ran over before setting on fire, I actually feel good the last couple days. This despite putting in 12-hour days and 3rd world life being a real pain in the *** lately. I feel like I'm going to make it!

Not long to go now. I want to marry soluble paracetomol. Nothing else has been much help, and even the pharmacist just said to alternate paracetomol and ibuprofen (but I have to be careful with ibuprofen because of my delicate stomach).

Is it safe?

I am re-emerging in a safe house to type this message before Carla and I go back into hiding. Aliantha and her daughter Batty and Shara_Lunison came to visit, and I thought after Seafest, it might be safe. But apparently Aliantha took the knife pulled on her a bit more personally than Carla and I thought. They came in and slipped rags over both of our faces with some strange substance that knocked us out. We woke up in what they kept referring to as the "Elephant Bar" which I suspect had something to do with the giant elephant foot that held us in place for a while as they did unspeakable things to us. At some point, they even hooked up electrodes to our tender parts, which they referred to as doing "karaoke." We managed to escape through sheer luck, and have been hiding out since. Our escape seemed a bit easier than I would expect, which makes me very nervous of why. But we are safe now, but will be separating briefly before we can find a new place to hide out and try to resume a normal life. But the therapy bills will be through the roof.

I have but one warning for the rest of you: Beware of Aliantha.

Nobody can now deny that karaoke is evil.
