I'm more or less on your side, Ali! Sometimes my self-contol is more, and sometimes less.

Yeah, my self-control seems to have flown out the window today. Ah well, there's always tomorrow....

THIN MINTS!!!!

Well actually, Cool Mint Oreos and Thin Mints, side by side.
Right now, the luscious chocolate coating over the Thin Mints is winning out. But if they ever introduce a Cool Mint version of the chocolate dipped and coated oreos, the Girl Scouts are going to be in trouble retaining my business...

Finished off the strawberry rhubarb pie with more tea. It helped to wash the bad taste of Spider-man 2 out of my mouth.

Well, not *right* now...but earlier this evening, I made a pan of brownies from scratch. To the usual basic recipe, I added some chopped walnuts and some Ghiradelli dark chocolate chips that I had left over from making Christmas cookies...and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Then I proceeded to eat half the pan. :( But ohhh baby, are they good...

Having some English toffee bar/cake thing with tea. (My sinuses are momentarily clear, so I can actually taste what I'm eating.)

Those of you not in the US will not understand...
...those of you in the US who have tried the Mexican Coca-cola will.

With Passover having just passed, we stocked up on the 2-litre bottles of kosher for passover Coca-cola Classic. This is k4p because not only is it produced under rabbinical supervision, it is made with cane sugar instead of the corn syrup used for regular Classic Coke (my understanding is the US is the only country where corn syrup is the standard. [sarcasm]lucky us[/sarcasm]). I don't know if I could say I can truly detect a difference were I to try them side by side, but I do know I don't enjoy standard sodas. Except for seltzer water with a twist of lime, I rarely drink anything carbonated at all. But, the k4p Classic Coke is a treat, and I find myself having a cup over ice at least once a day.

So...I'm enjoying the daily glass right now. 8)
