Yeah, I think there are tumbleweeds rolling around my Street Fighter 4 thread. Seriously, you can't be male, play video games, have roomates, and not play fighting games.

To me, SF3: Third Strike is the most perfect fighting game ever made. (Anyone who likes Tekken should be shot). Guilty Gear is also EXCELLENT crazy-ass japanese 2-d fun.

SF4 is very good, but it's not quite third strike.

Heh, I am a male gamer, living with three other male gamers, and I don't think a single one of us owns a fighting game. I haven't really been into fighters since the days when my brother and I used to sit and play them in our mum's dining room - the days of the Megadrive.

I have a soft spot for the Mortal Kombats, but after the third they became a bit too repetitive. Virtual Fighter was ok; I haven't played any since an early demo of 3 though. For me, Street Fighter wins. It's almost the definition of fighting games, and with good reason.

As an aside, what happened to Soul Blade? The moment it became Calibur, the Blade name was dropped. Weird.

Soul Calibur is the greatest fighter ever, IMnHO...

I wish I had a newer system, I'd be all over SFIV...
