Creepy and distressing

Post by CovenantJr »

Listen to some creepy music (I chose the music from Requiem for a Dream) and look at these photos:

A vague acquaintance from another forum went to Chernobyl... The school and fairground are particularly unsettling.

Wow! Reminds me of the beginning of Life Without People on the History channel. I didn't know about the forest that glowed red or the radiation "rainbow"...

Very cool.

I told my friend about this, and her reaction was "I want to go there!"
I think I'll wait another decade or two first.

Hmmm, yeah. I think I'd wait a few half-lifes, at least....

Cool pics, tho, CovJr.

Thanks very much for sharing this, Cov! I read through that whole thread.

It brought me back to Lyr's Exploring abandoned places. . . thread from two years ago, and to this site (first mentioned by SoulBiter):

www.kiddofspeed.com/chernobyl-revisited/

The site belongs to Elena, the crazy girl who rides through the Chernobyl "dead zone" on her motorbike. Another mesmerizing tour.

Thanks for making me think of that site again. . . I need to see what's new on it. :)

Weird. I don't remember that part of the Covenant books.
