...courtesy of Agts. Scully and Mulder. I kind of missed the early nineties, living in the Vermont woods and chasing small children around the vegetable garden. My hubby brought home seasons 1-9 of the X-Files and we've been enjoying it quite a lot, even though I don't go in for UFOs, Bigfoot and all that. Kind of cool. Although after watching CSI I find myself thinking, don;t you people ever bring evidence bags? gloves? fingerprint dust??

Seasons 1 to 3 of the X-Files were exceptional.deer of the dawn wrote:...courtesy of Agts. Scully and Mulder. I totally missed the '90s. And most of the '80s. As well as most of the current decade. I'm just now catching up on "Battlestar Galactica"!
Spoiler
Starbuck's back! And she's gonna lead them to Earth! Yaaay!

I missed the eighties voluntarily. I was hitching around the country and trying desperately to avoid wearing shoulder pads.

I picked up all nine seasons in the cheap slimpack format. So far I've up to Season 3. When it ran I started in the middle of Season 2 and watched from that point. Still miss those guys. Even enjoyed the replacements in later years.deer of the dawn wrote:...courtesy of Agts. Scully and Mulder. Good call. I did wear shoulder pads. Got over *that*. Now I even refuse to wear skirts.deer of the dawn wrote:trying desperately to avoid wearing shoulder pads.

My sister was into shoulder pads in the 80's, but she never went overboard with it. Sure, they got a little excessive in that decade, but I'm not against shoulder pads per se. I'm no fashion expert, but I do think that when done right, shoulder pads can add to a woman's sexiness. That's my honest opinion as a guy.
Ah, the early nineties! Loved X-Files, but my personal favourites still are Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure.

My worst fashion problem was finding pants that fit over my feet, with those tiny "pegged" ankles. Gag a maggot.

The one prime time TV drama of the 90's I ended up following was Law & Order, but I didn't take notice of the show until 2004 or so, quite by accident via reruns on A&E. Once I saw the show, I was hooked. Absolutely loved it -- the early years, that is. Haven't kept up with its current incarnation(s). The numerous cast changes pretty much alienated me.

I did get into E.R. for a while but after a couple seasons it was like, this show goes nowhere.
Currently in season 3 of X-Files. So far the best season. My favorite episode is the one where Scully gets the tattoo. Maybe because I've been in that state of mind but got to watch her make the sloppy decisions, yet escape the consequences using awesome fighting skills. *sigh* If I had only taken karate instead of conga drum lessons.
