Lots of good ones. I particularly agree with the T2 stuff.
I'd have added nearly all the stuff cut from both Aliens and The Abyss, and the utterly bizarre trip to Central America cut from Stripes.

The Step Brothers one is awesome.

Personally, I thought all the deleted scenes from Scooby Doo should have been kept in. They were cut because 1) they were considered too "risque" for the kids, and 2) they wanted a shorter running time for the kids.
Little did the studio realize that the main audience of this movie should have been, not the kids, but adults who watched the show as kids. The scenes they cut would have seriously improved it

I loved the "Life of Brian" one.
The "Kill Bill" was pretty good too...humor, and somebody actually found a way to make Carradine look like he could actually hurt someone.

I'm glad the T-1000 scene was deleted; it makes the machine seem and act strange, removing some of it's menace. It acts as though it has some obsessive compulsive disorder.

It also put him back on screen, instead of having the film's villain disappear for 45 minutes.

Agreed. Speaking of deletions that cause dialogue blips, during the final run Biggs says of the TIE fighters, "they're coming in much faster this time." This time? Faster than what?matrixman wrote:Holy...the lost Tatooine footage!! I had not seen it before.
Lucas neglects these vital scenes between Luke and Biggs for the special editions, only to foist things like the ridiculous "Greedo shoots first" scene upon us. Come on, George.
In the novelization (read long ago), Luke's trio made 2 passes at the exhaust port, the first so unexpectedly fast that the TIEs couldn't catch up until the second run. I can understand why Lucas took that out, but not why he didn't fix Bigg's line.

Yeah, the Aliens stuff should never have been cut. The films biggest flaws are the absence of the material in the scenes. Its one of only a couple of movies where I feel the directors cut is actually a significantly improved movie.Cail wrote:www.totalfilm.com/features/27-scenes-th ... en-deleted

If anything, THIS scene shouldn't have been deleted in T2.
And if you didn't watch the Director's Cut version of Donnie Darko, I feel sorry for you.

I didn't like the film when I initially saw it. I really hated (passionately) the Director's Cut.

That's precisely why I disliked the original version. I came off from the movie with a sense of "wtf just happened?". After seeing the Director's Cut, it made much more sense to me, even though I still don't think Richard Kelly knew wtf he was trying to do with the movie. *shrugs*Murrin wrote:I dislike the director's cut. Good God, I just started watching This is Spinal Tap on DVD, and I can't believe all the cut scenes....There's like 3 more movies worth of stuff.
