INTERIOR: GALACTICA. The passageway is full of smoke. A klaxon sounds in the background. There is debris everywhere. We hear the sound of a pounding heart and gasping for breath.
SLOW MOTION CLOSE UP: KARA THRACE. Her face is smudged with grime and blood. Panic is in her eyes. She's obviously running as hard as she can.
KARA THRACE P.O.V.: The deck of the ship leans like crazy. The ship is obviously doomed. Painfully slowly, she bursts through the hatch of a lavatory.
INTERIOR: LAVATORY. The power grid is failing. The lights flash. The room is full of steam. KARA slowly walks towards a shower curtain. There seems to be someone in there.
KARA THRACE: P.O.V. Her arm reaches out and yanks the curtain to the side. Steam billows out from the shower stall.
KARA THRACE: CLOSE UP: Her eyes bulge from her head.
KARA THRACE: "No.....NO!!!!!!! That's not possible!!!!"
CLOSE UP: SHOWER STALL. Out of the mist, we see ZACH ADAMA, smiling.
ZACH ADAMA: "Hey babe, what's wrong?"
CLOSE UP: KARA THRACE
KARA THRACE: "Zach.....How.....Zach. I saw you die."
MEDIUM SHOT: ZACH ADAMA
ZACH ADAMA: "You know, you were thrashing around pretty good last night. Sounds like someone had one nasty nightmare".
MEDIUM SHOT: KARA THRACE. The steam has dissipated. The klaxon can no longer be heard. The room looks subtly different. She frantically turns around......
KARA THRACE: P.O.V. The ruined GALACTICA is gone. Instead she sees the apartment she shared so many years ago with Zach.
MEDIUM SHOT: KARA THRACE shaking her head.
KARA THRACE: "Not possible. No way."
MEDIUM SHOT: SHOWER STALL. There's someone else in there...
BOBBY EWING: "Sure, just a dream."
WIDE SHOT. We see KARA THRACE staring in horror at BOBBY EWING, she backs into PAM EWING.
PAM EWING: "Only a dream Kara, and a bad one too from what it sounds like."
SAM ANDERS, emerging from the mist: "Boy, is this awkward. Kara, if you could just hand me a towel, I'll get out of here."
KARA THRACE: "Sam, your hair's back! But wait, if it was all a dream, how did we meet?"
SAM ANDERS begins to answer, but trips over a SMALL CHILD playing with a snow globe on the floor of the shower.
KARA THRACE: "Wait, this doesn't make any sense. Sam and Zach, you're both dead!"
ELLEN RIPLEY walks out of the shower: "Face it Kara, the fans don't care that it doesn't make sense, all they care about is that their favorite characters stick around so that they can write fan-fiction in an 'expanded universe'."
KARA THRACE: "No way! We broke that mold. We've had plenty of important character's.......OH MY GODS!"
MEDIUM SHOT: SHOWER. FELIX GAETA is washing CALLY TYROL'S back.
CALLY & FELIX: "See?"
VOICE of MAJEL BARRET-RODDENBERRY: "Sorry Kara, but that's the first tenet of science fiction. No matter what the fans say, they want their characters to stay absolutely the same. The story can go where the story goes, but in the end, nothing can change."
BOB NEWHART: "But at the same time, you need to have a memorable finale that keeps people thinking. Shoot, St. Elsewhere was hardly a hit TV show, but 20 years later, everyone still remembers the finale.
THE SMALL BOY SEATED IN THE SHOWER WAVES AND SMILES.
GHOST OF OBI-WAN KENOBI: "Come on Kara, why do you think people stood in line for the STAR WARS prequels? Everyone knew how they were going to end. That was what the fans wanted."
CLOSE UP: KARA THRACE
KARA THRACE: "Well frak me!"
FADE TO AWESOME

Lol, I guess I have typo blindness. Never noticed that, and this thread has been on top of the forum for over a month now.
Thankfully, Firefox supplies me with a nice red underline of doom for every typo. (What a great browser, IE is for nubs)
