a genuine gift
I am forced every day to commute 2 1/2 hours each way to and from work. the commute has been very very difficult. I have begun rereading (re-listening actually) the trilogies done by Scott Brick. It has made a horrible trip bearable. The one thing that struck me immediately is how well he reads these works. In an email Scott Brick told me how much he loved the trilogies and you can hear it in the read. I am sure this subject has been talked to death but I just wanted to put my two cents in as well.
Listen to it if you can, it's wonderful.

Scott comes here occasionally to update us on the progress of his SRD productions. I haven't listened to any of them (I'm not much of a books-on-tape person) but all who have heard them agree with you, lorin.

I completely agree. I can't wait for the release of TPTP on audio (due sometime around April 1st, IIRC.)lorin wrote:I am forced every day to commute 2 1/2 hours each way to and from work. the commute has been very very difficult. I wholeheartedly reccomend Scott's readings. they are wonderful. He does inflections, emotions, his timing just is perfect. You won't be dissapointed.
Becoming Elijah has been released from Calderwood Books!

you know, in the beginning it was bad, but now I think of it as my alone time, my only alone time. I plan my next entry in my book, I listen to books on cd, I talk on the phone. Only thing is my back and butt get tired.Farm Ur-Ted wrote:Oh, man, a 2 1/2 hour commute has got to be brutal. I feel for you.
I bought a hybrid car, makes it a lot less painful, for sure.

Scott's done a great job with the Cussler book I've listened to. He's apparently also read Atlas Shrugged, which I will probably end up downloading for my commute.

yeah, they're mp3s so just import 'em. I did have a some minor problems with LFB and TIW, something about the titles. But, TPTP imported without any problems.Cail wrote:Yeah, he really does a good job with the reading.dlbpharmd wrote:I'm telling you man, these versions have brought the story alive to me again. Just listened to the excerpt of TPTP that he has on the website. That was pretty incredible (even more so since it was what may be my favorite scene in the entire chronicles)
