Yes, Brid. It is Dagon and I against the followers of Nor Yekith and the Void; and Nor Yekith and the Void against the followers of Dagon and me. It is the followers who suffer. But it is not the innocent who suffer. Why not? Because mine are quite beyond the reach of Nor Yekith and the Void, and because theirs are not innocent. They worship Malice, and Malice's ally, after all.
But still, your point is valid. I accept. I cannot speak for Dagon, of course, but I will gladly meet either Nor Yekith or the Void in single combat, on the condition that they give Oaths to the Allfather that the one will face me, and the other will not attampt to use his power on my followers or any Forest while we are fighting.

I assume this place you offer, should another accept to face Zephyr, will be away from any mortals who may suffer the fallout from such battle occurring near them?

Through Brid's harsh language an interesting idea emerges. I, too, would relish the chance to face Malice or Void in combat. A list of conditions would have to be reasonably debated and agreed upon, and of course an oath to uphold the conditions would need to be sworn by all parties involved.

It is good you yet still acknowledge that, former G-ddess of the Anvil, although I have no wish to get involved directly. If I did, I would suggest you and I withdraw to the Court to discuss it.
I do wish to remind those considering doing such that the deity of the Anvil here on Eiran battled one-on-one in manifested form with another, and we lost him until just before the end of the Second Age. The only other battle one-on-one of which I am aware ended in a draw. I feel it is mandatory that those who are considering battling are fully aware of the consequences to themselves. Such has not been seen in over three millennia here on Eiran...
...and The Void is new to awareness of Eiran. Perhaps it should be held accountable for the actions attributed to it in its former state. Then again, perhaps the opportunity for us to learn of it would be more in order.
No, I have no wish to be involved in this.

Do you assume that Brid's site is better or safer than one I - the goddess of Earth - could devise?Brid has offered a site for battle. One I assume which is far from any influence or harm to others...

My apologies, Lady Earth. I meant no offense.
And I have not spoken with Brid regarding this outside of the Pantheon. So, I know not where she has in mind.
...but if it is what I am considering it might be, all I can say is that it would certainly be...different than what you would provide...
...and for saying that alone I expect she will want my head!

Oh if ONLY! I do appreciate you thinking about me though, Lady Cho.O-gon-cho wrote: ...Mox, has your hand been involved in this?

Oh well, it will still be entertaining to see this spectical unfold!
Embracing me is to embrace the true way your mind works. Let yourself not be hindered by the false.

*Everywhere yet nowhere, voices far distant yet intimately close comes into the minds of the gods of Eiran. Some voices are mere whispers while others bellow. The words of true eternity are spoken.*
Gods of Eiran, long have your voices been spat into the abyss of time with no response. Let it be known that now these voices are answered.
Zephyr, mortal pledged deity of forests. Long you have tried to taunt that upon which eternity was built into some kind of conversation. Do you make habit of talking to yourself? For The Void of which you speak is non existent, non sentient and most importantly devoid of personality. Speaking to such a thing is like talking to thin air. Or into a vast empty cave.
Yet nothing shall attempt an answer to your misguided talking.
You talk of two cities belonging to The Void. How can nothing own something? Your rather mortal like behaviour is apparent in this statement. Do you not understand the complexities of existence? Deities exist as people believe in them. The gods are to people what a pet dog is to a child. No child the pet dog is lost and will soon die.
So how is it, that something that is at best a servant and at least a crazed fantasy of the mortal mind, that any deity is capable of owning a city? And how is it that you expect The Void, a being of utter unbeing willed into existence through such mortal minds, to comment for what the people who will it to do? Perhaps one needs to look to its mortal followers if one wishes to try and broach peace with another, god of branches.
Add to this your request for oaths to a being that is to you petty gods as you are to mortals. Before everything there was nothing. Before creation, before life, before existence and before time itself there was nothing but the cold abyss. Yet you expect that abyss to pledge an oath to some being that existences within itself? Would you ask the world itself to do such? Or the sky? Or anything else that just is? For one to make an oath, one must be aware and thinking. One must have a sense of self. Yet you expect something that is just a fact of existence for such an oath. You are truly unaware of the nature of the universe.
Calais, figurehead of earth and death. Your snap at the Goddess of light is odd. Surely you are not so stupid as to not see the thinness of your words? Look at your suggestion from the other side and then rethink your remark. If you require further explanation then you have answered the question already posed.
Finally Devaguhya. You made a request earlier as to whether or not an Alliance of Blotted suns made an attack on the island your people call home. No such thing has taken place upon the plane in which Eiran exists. You must seek reprimand elsewhere.
*With that the voices are gone, as if never there. Words spoken seem more remembered than heard.*

Tawhiri-matea!! You will be called to account. And called by more than Life. For you have attacked Halym itself. The seat of the Sunset Court. And Rothmog as well calls parts of Halym home. Though I do NOT speak for the Court or for Rothmog, understand you have attacked at least four deities. [And Calais herself may have continued to have a city on Halym!]
There will be retribution!!
Void,
Your nature and origin are quite different from mine. I cannot pretend to understand you perfectly. But if you were willed into being through mortal minds, then you were willed into being. You do exist. Perhaps you can choose. Perhaps you can act. Perhaps it is time for the god to tell the followers how things will be. I will not have my followers die under attacks powered by a helpless Void as I waste time trying to first find those who use the power within you for their own ends, then attempt to talk them into ceasing their attacks. They chose to join The Eclipse. They chose to honor that alliance by using your power to attack my followers when I destroyed the Jungles in which the followers of one member of that alliance lived. And so, they have paid the price. If you have it in your power to make decisions on how your power is used, and will cease allowing it to be used against my followers, then please say so. I do not desire war, but I will wage it if I must, until my followers are safe.

A sentient being - a deity - does not take advice from nothingness, a figment of mortal fancy.Calais, figurehead of earth and death. Your snap at the Goddess of light is odd. Void: It's quite amazing that an non-sentient force has acquired the faculties and understanding of a sentient being enough to communicate. I'm sure your metaphysician followers are falling over themselves explaining that one.
Void, you've failed to address the challenge posited by Zephyr and I. What say you/it?

Zephyr,
I have decided to offer peace to you, on the condition that you call off your dog of war (Dagon). Our lands, our followers, have suffered enough and I see no reason to continue. If you do not accept, there will be a century of suffering unleased upon you by allies and me.
Further, I do not wish to engage in combat with another god; it will prove nothing for it is far more effective to slaughter followers.
