I intermittently listen to what back in the day I would have called "college radio" stations. Whether I can relate to all of the musical approaches that get air time or not I still enjoy it because it reminds me of my "alternative" music heyday back in college. Plus I get to get introduced to some new groups that I really like (although I try not to tread on my 15 year old daughter's musical turf, LOL.)
... nobody I know.

Imogen Heap

Post by Krazy Kat »

I sometimes buy a magazine called FUTURE MUSIC. It comes with a dvd that contains lots of royalty free samples. They also interview a professional musician at work, which is great for picking up fresh ideas and learning new ways to solve creative (software) obsticles.

Anyway this month I discovered the brilliant Imogen Heap. She's a really amazing singer and sound maker. She can find music in almost anything she can lay her hands on. If anyone hasn't heard her yet and likes to create digital music (her voice reminds me of Dido) seek her out, you won't be disappointed. I tried to put some of her songs on the You Tube thread but there was an ID block on them.
