This movie seems to have divided the critics - some say it's Richard Curtis' weakest to date.
It's basically a film about pirate radio in 60s UK. Has a lot of recognisable British actors, and Phillip Hoffmann, who is exceptional in it IMO.
I saw it on the weekend and thought it was hugely entertaining. Has anyone seen it? What did you think?
I'm certainly not a big movie-goer, so that may contribute to my enjoyment (just getting out....), but I found it fun, slightly unbelievable (but who cares), great music, great characters.

Hmmm, maybe it was only release in Aus - or maybe you're all Sci Fi fans - or maybe nobody has seen it - or maybe nobody cares - it's a real film, honest

The Boat that Rocked
I guess it's destined to join the ranks of "Fast and Furious", "Seven Pounds", and "Bruno"...
EDIT: Nevermind - I just checked release dates. Looks like it doesn't come out in the US until end August 2009...
