Guess there aren't any b-ball fans here, OK, but I'm going to celebrate anyway:
We are the CHAMPIONS!
Orlando were valiant, they were competitive, but they did not have the composure and the experience that the Lakers did and that was the difference this year. It could be said that Orlando choked away two games, but the champions are the ones who make the plays.
Lakers win!

Lakers win!

I just can't root for anyone in purple.
Does that make me shallow?

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Completely agree. I personally never detract from a winning team's performance due to mistakes or couldhaveshouldhavewouldhave's on the part of the losing team (even when the losing team is my team.) You don't win on ability (directly) you win on performance.Farsailer wrote:It could be said that Orlando choked away two games, but the champions are the ones who make the plays.
Not for me to say, but what it doesn't make you is a Minnesota Vikings fan.Vraith wrote:I just can't root for anyone in purple. Does that make me shallow?

Ironically, my favorite Uncle was a Vikings fan, so I said I was too...then I actually saw them on tv...more traumatic than finding the truth about the tooth fairy.AjK wrote:Not for me to say, but what it doesn't make you is a Minnesota Vikings fan.Vraith wrote:I just can't root for anyone in purple.
