Will now know the origins of Milwaukee's name.

Milwaukee is the name of one of the three rivers that run through the city, and comes from a Native American language (I forget which one--Wisconsin has 5 or 6 acknowledged Native American Nations).

Claims to be from somewhere between Minnesota and Wisconsin, but the Phoogle indicates that Minnesota is the correct location.

And my Dad was in charge of Wisconsin's first mall - Brooksfield Square Mall.
