The Tudors

Dam, I can't find a thread on this show here or even a mention of it in the Henry the 8th topic in Doriendor Corishev. If you haven't seen it you really don't know what you're missing. Even if you don't get Showtime rent these episodes. Great acting, extremely interesting history and cross European history, detailed sets, costumes and gorgeous castles. Jonathan Rhys-Meyer, Sam Neill it just doesn't get any better.

Agree completely with Danlo, I've seen the first 2 seasons on DVD and it's great. If Anne Boleyn looked anything like the actress that plays her, I would have kicked Catherine to the curb also. ;)

I watched the first episode and found it utterly ludicrous, so stopped there.

You are such a friggin' curmudgeon! You know for someone who hasn't studied Tudor history under the microscope I found it very interesting-so much going on in Europe at the same time-plague still lingering, marriages to Portugal and the HRE, dealings with France and Spain, Chinese influence, Machiavellian influence-Martin Luther. Plus the chicks are hot.

Sorry Mr. Perfection who had to know this stuff backwards and forwards but you're not just a killjoy-you're a putz! (if you want someone to blame for the miniseries you could just write it off as a Irish/Canadian production...:P)

I saw the first season on DVD. It's a soap opera.

A soap opera in which there are only young men with good abs dressed in frilly clothes, and only one woman.

'Nuff said.

There was both the ultra-hot Anne and also Mary Boleyn, there was Princess what's-her-face that Henry married off to the king of Portugal and all the chicks that Henry messed around with. Much more than 1 woman, WF!

Okay, okay ... but I'm pretty sure there's only one woman featured in the credits!

Spoiler
The third season should give us the necessary amount of time to discover that, yes, all of the characters are gay. If you have been watching the show I expect at least a chuckle at this comment...
