So, today I found a left over book-shop gift voucher and bought The Real Story, Forbidden Knowledge and A Dark and Hngry God Arises.
I'll be reading them after i finish my current book (Neverwhere by Neil Giaman.)
I figured I'd stick all my thoughts in one thread as I go along to avoid spoilers.
So, yea, watch this space in the next week or two.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Warmark:
The story is rude, crude, and vulgar in sections.
But as Sorus said: "Enjoy the ride."
One of the best sci-fi stories I have read yet!
(Another Donaldson masterpiece)
Have you hugged your arghule today?

It can take some getting used to because, unlike Covenant, the Gap's suffering isn't alleviated by scenes of beauty or tranquility. It's brutal and vicious pretty much start to finish, but also utterly brilliant. Again, it takes some getting used to, but that's an effort very much worth making.
I agree with the others - this is a great series. The first book is rough and there are parts that are hard to get through, but if you can stick through it, the last 2 books are some of the best sci-fi I've ever read.
Sorry, im away from home just now and i forgot the take my book with me.
However, im about 100 pages in and i'm really enjoying it. Angus is superb.

I'm taking an absolute age to get through this book, but i am really enjoying it. Davies has just been ''born'' and the Amnion bio-chemistry culture is very well done.
Kind of disapointed by the lack of Angus though, hopefully there will be more of him in the later books.

I just got to a chapter about Angus. He's just been turned into a cyborg. Hopefully he does some awesome stuff with all his new gadgets.
