Thank you, Ivan. And I apologise for my late arrival. I'll try and catch up as quickly as I can...

At least you're in town already. I'm still in Russia. :)

I'll start writing today. Sorry for the delay, but I had a presentation to work on all week. Now that it's done, I will begin posting soon. I will be starting the chapter in the Opera House tomorrow (sunday night).

As per usual, I am awarding weekly xp. Note that two players (Randel and Belmont) have not posted this week. However, because the players are waiting for everyone to catch up, that's not their fault. Had the other player characters arrived at the Opera House they would get 1 xp, so they earn it anyway.

Is there a place we can go to keep track of the XP we've received? I'm guessing all the weekly and chapter XP will be awarded in this thread. Plus story XP will be awarded in the threads of whatever part of town we're in then?

I have this idea that Ivan has three, so far.

And how do we spend XP when it's time?

Maddoc has 3xp, by my count. (that editable .pdf is great. I keep a running total of Maddoc's stats there)

At the bottom of Loremaster's ninth post in the Character Creation thread (the long post that starts with the heading "Character Creation") is a screen shot, in the bottom right-hand corner of which is a list of experience point costs.

This tells you at a glance how many experience points it costs to raise each type of stat by one dot (remember that for many stats the cost of the fifth dot is doubled).

Once you have enough points to do what you want then I think you just email Loremaster and purchase the upgrade, which takes affect from the start of the next chapter if I recall my discussion with him via PM.

I am starting the Opera House chapter now. Unless the characters who are not there manage to finish their stories within a few days they will be unable to participate.

I will be awarding weekly xp as normal today, but starting after the awards the system will be changed. The 1 xp will only be given to active participants - to those who post more than two to three times a week, possibly more. This is to encourage moving the stories along, otherwise we will have another situation like the Opera House chapter.

You'll probably have more than 1xp today, Ivan. I am predicting the Moscow chapter will be over soon.

I'm going away for the next 4 days, so posting may be a bit sporadic. Still hoping to be able to check in once a day, but I'll say sorry in advance for any tardiness on my part. Should be business as usual by the weekend.
