Do your friends appreciate the Chronicles?

I was introduced to the Chronicles in the 70's by an ex sister in law. Other than her, I know only one other person who has any knowledge of them, and he has read a little many years ago, and not interested to do more. I have told countless people about these books, but they all look at me like I have three heads or something. They want to read Twilight, but nothing with any depth to it. None of my current friends have any interest whatsoever. They don't even want to borrow the first book. Oh, well, I guess it is just their loss. It's interesting to me that most people will say yes, they have read LOTR though.

It used to be more like a couple a year.

Hasn't dipped under 11 per month since March, '03 - that's 1 newb every 3 days...I'd say that's AWESOME, hy-fyv!!
(I know what your sayin' though, most won't stick around...but still)

It's interesting to me that most people will say yes, they have read LOTR though.

I wouldn't call LOTR deep in the same sense that the Chrons is deep. Existentialism, Jung, etc. Not just Christian philosophies....
