The Fourth Kind

Post by JazFusion »

It's that time again, kiddies: alien abduction movie time! It's called The Fourth Kind, and you can view the trailer here.

It seems interesting enough. Loosely based upon "actual" experiences in Nome, Alaska where a large number of people mysteriously went missing in a short amount of time. It stars Milla Jovovich which will be....amusing.

I think Close Encounters of the Third Kind was misnamed, then.

Hopefully it will be good, but I've been taught by Hollywood not to expect too much from this type of film :(

Except for Close Encounters, any movie about alien abduction is rubbish. Purely because alien abduction claims are ludicrous. I know films should be judged on their story-telling ability and themes, but I'm a snob. ;)

Fourth kind? Is that like the date analogy of crossing home plate?

I was a wee lad of fifteen when I saw Fire in the Sky. Whoof, scary stuff, decent flick.

Very different from the report, but it's the scariest abduction movie ever.

Damn good trailer for a horror flick...seems like x-files meets Blair Witch.

Yeah, you gotta change 'real life' to make it interesting...at least most of the time.
