It be there, I care not of the other great book Above.
Strike it out! Or, write it in anew. But
Let my name be in the Book of Love!" --Omar Khayam

Juts finished it up the other day. Vampirisim as a deadly virus - combination medical thriller and horror. It was good to see vampires as monstrous parasites rather than sex machines for a change. 8)

I'd loudly proclaim AMEN to that, if I wasn't a sordid little atheist.

Watched the blurb by Del Toro and it seems interesting. Personally I prefer vampires as creatures of the night, rather than humans with fangs and an aversion to sunlight so Del Toro's take intrigues me.
"For the love of God, Montresor!"
"Yes," I said, "for the love of God!" - Edgar Allan Poe, The Cask of Amontillado.

Yeah read the blurb, thought it would be great, spent some money and have regretted it ever since..

If only they'd said 'vampires' on the outside I would never have bought it.

Was so disappointed when it devolved into a vampire story, though the first few chapters were damn good.
Forgive my death.
It was my flesh that failed you, not my love.
